Romney apologizes

Post 129 yurt... that is where YOU brought up Byrd. You are the one that continues this nonsense.

and then onceler chimed in with his sniping.

how is not relevant? if the dems can forgive byrd....why can't they forgive romney?

that is the whole point. you're running around saying RDS and faux outrage....my comment about byrd bolsters your claim....so i fail to see why you're in a tizzy over it.

hey jarod....his other classmate never made amends either....

And they should have! But according to the story Romney was the ringleader and the one who cut his hair while the others held him down. We dont know if the other class members made amends or not. What is relevant is that Romney did not and ROmney is the one running for President of the United States.

That's the salient point there. Amazing the equivalency that the village idiot here tries to create...

"Mitt was a thoughtful guy with a great sense of humor who cared about his classmates. He had a good perspective on how to balance all the pressures high school students face. He would never go out and do anything mean spirited. Clownish, yes. Never mean," Richard Moon, one ex-classmate said in the statement furnished by the campaign.

"Mitt never had a malicious bone in his body – trying to imply or characterize him as a bully is absurd," John French, another former classmate, said in another statement released by Romney's staff.

Actually, those two statements are not inconsistent, although they appear to be. Michigan doesn't actually have party affiliation for registered voters. All Michigan voters are registered "independent," even though I'm sure some of them consider themselves affiliated with one party or another.

Why dident Romney deny the hair cutting incident?

Does anyone else think this effort to dig up old classmates to speak on his behalf is the worst possible response to this by Rmoney's campaign. Jesus Lord in a t-top Firebird that's stupid.

Unless they can come up with one who says he was there for the hair cutting incideint and that it did not happen as described they should stop adding to the story.

so what you're saying is....romney should have know he was running for president and made amends....

this is getting way beyond RDS. the guy has apologized, say he did dumb things and is now different. but that isn't good enough, like i said, it doesn't matter, you're not voting for him no matter what he does. he could have made amends you would probably still be all over this. the point of his classmate is that it is not common to make amends for pranks. the pranksters rarely ever remember that stuff once they get into college, and start a new life. is it right or fair....no. but consider the time period, what romney did was not considered a big deal, thus, romney likely gave it little thought. does it make it right? no. it is what is.

there is nothing more the guy can do about it now.

?

so it is ok for liberals to pull up classmates who say romney is a bully, but not ok for romney to use classmates to show good character

so what you're saying is....romney should have know he was running for president and made amends....

No. What he's saying is that if the other guy was running for President, it would be an issue that he didn't make amends.

Your mind is weird, and stupid.

Well at least the dog survived, unlike Obama the dog eater.

Faux 'news' didn't tell you this did they?

Mitt Romney may not have told the whole truth about the scandalous tale of his Irish Setter, Seamus, being strapped to the roof of his car during a 12-hour family road trip to Canada. According to a trusted Politicker tipster, two of Mr. Romney’s sons had an off-record conversation with reporters where they revealed the dog ran away when they reached their destination on that infamous journey in 1983...

Mr. Romney and his wife clearly want the world to think that, despite defecating himself, Seamus had a pleasant trip to Canada and a long life in the Romney household. However, based on what Mr. Romney’s sons allegedly told reporters about Seamus going on the lam in Canada, Seamus didn’t like being strapped to the car enough to stick around for the return trip.

The dog did exactly what the voters should do, run away fast from this nut job. Or seek asylum in Canada.

I thought it would be a good name for a rock band, Romney's Dog. Here today, gone tomorrow. LOL

1) I am not saying that and you know it.
2) Romney could stop lying, admit it then appologise.
3) Romney could stop minimizing such a serious incident and end the propetuation of bullying and stop minimizing it.

horse puckey. it is only an issue to liberal hacks like you. it is complete nonsense. first it was - romney should apologize....then he did...and the goal posts were moved to - well, he should have made amends.

doesn't matter that he did, you guys will never get over it. please continue to make an issue out this. please.

It's OK for journalists to commit journalism. And I didn't say it wasn't OK for Rmoney's campaign to dig up his old classmates. I said it's stupid.
