Mobile police need your help to catch a mob that beat Matthew Owens so badly that he's in critical condition.

According to police, Owens fussed at some kids playing basketball in the middle of Delmar Drive about 8:30 Saturday night. They say the kids left and a group of adults returned, armed with everything but the kitchen sink.

Police tell News 5 the suspects used chairs, pipes and paint cans to beat Owens.

Owens' sister, Ashley Parker, saw the attack. "It was the scariest thing I have ever witnessed." Parker says 20 people, all African American, attacked her brother on the front porch of his home, using "brass buckles, paint cans and anything they could get their hands on."

Police will only say "multiple people" are involved.

What Parker says happened next could make the fallout from the brutal beating even worse. As the attackers walked away, leaving Owen bleeding on the ground, Parker says one of them said "Now thats justice for Trayvon." Trayvon Martin is the unarmed teenager police say was shot and killed February 26 by neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman in Samford, Florida.

Police canvassed the area, but did not find any suspects.

No spin necessary or should be expected, particularly from any liberal. It has always been a mantra of liberals to wipe out racism from wherever it comes, not to excuse it for any reason. What happened here was terrible, no doubt. Racism? Who is accusing anyone of racism? The fact that the attackers were black and the victim was white does not in and of itself make the attacks racist. What would have been done had the victim been black, as is very often the case in situations like this, or the attackers been white? Some jerks see or create more trouble than actually exists. In cases like this the accusation is clearly racism on it's face. Again, not to excuse racism in any way, I believe that liberals are as a group the most non-racist in this equation. Certainly it is conservatives saying "Look, how will the liberals spin this?" Shameful.

Better you, than him. And where do you get off blaming President Obama, Atty. Gen. Holder, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton? They had nothing to do with random violence or hate crimes, any more than you had anything to do with the Trayvon Martin incident. Low life.

of course it's not wrong to point it out where it exists. whats wrong is to blame it on an issue where it doesn't exist. all that leads to is an entire circle of race incited incidents, like the one in the OP.

Uh, Zimmerman is half-white (or Jew) . And where is the documentation supporting your assertion that he was a registered Democrat? And yeah, I believe in repealing the second amendment. Take everybody's gun away. permanently. Sure do.

Did you not read the OP, dis? This thread is about some rightwinger claiming racism in an incident where none may exist. If you would like to start your own thread about vigilante justice and mob rule I would be glad to contribute.

I did read the OP, A guy get's the S*** kicked outta him by a bunch of people, he claims they were black, the authorities believe him and his story, and they can find no legitimate reason.

Apparently he's automatically a rightwinger nutjob because he's a victim of African american crime?

you apparently read a different article. a witness stated that it was all black people. but silly me, I forgot that liberals claim black on white racism doesn't exist, and in the very rare instance that it does, it's just historical justice.
