As as I deplore the insensitive and disgusting manner of the phrase, the troll has a point. If you signed up for the army, you knew what you were in for, anybody with two brain cells to rub together knows that they are gonna end up in the middle east if they sign up these days, since the government doesnt understand that war isnt supposed to be the normal opperating procedure of a country. That being said.

That's not the point. The point is that people who are famous but ultimately inconsequential get far more respect in life and death.

Most people are inconsequential, famous people are just that, famous, news services report the news and the news is that the person everyone knew is dead rather than the person nobody knew. It's rather depressing soldiers deserve better but reporting on every dead soldier would not make the media popular.

I was going to argue further, but in the end I don't care that much. If I had died when I deployed I wouldn't have wanted any sort of media attention or spot light. I would have died doing a job, one that I wasn't the fondest of. And my wishes would have been granted.

Where the fuck was I going with this? Fuck it.

This is unworthy of a bitch fight. It's sad and a waste when anyone, famour or not, dies before their time. The fact that millions are pouring out their hearts to a self destructive person who's artistry touched them in a deeply emotional manner in no way detracts from the dignity, honor and worth of those who gave their last full measure of devotion to defend our country.
