Adam Greene is on his stomach as a pack of police officers pile on him, driving their knees into his back and wrenching his arms and legs. One officer knees him in the ribs; another kicks him in the face.

"Stop resisting," officers on the video yell, but Greene, his face pushed into the pavement, hasn't resisted. He doesn't even move -- maybe can't move -- because he's gone into diabetic shock caused by low blood sugar.

so how many of you would have sat there and watched these vicious thugs beat this defenseless man? would you have said or done anything?

in this specific case, it would be hard to say what i would do as it occurred on the side of the road and it is unlikely when i drove by i would know what was happening. that said, all the officers who engaged in this gross excessive force should be canned, sadly, they were not, merely disciplined. an ordinary citizen would be prosecuted and jailed for the same act. at least he recieved some monetary compensation.

also, killing is OT sty...

What is wrong with our society that these cops still have jobs?

As to killing them all to stop the beating, that seems rash. If you could clearly discern that it was an ongoing assault which would surely result in the victims death, that would be another story.

The officers should face charges and be fired.

one has to consider, would yelling at them to stop do anything? other than get you arrested for interfering?

it's that there wasn't enough uproar from the citizens of that city to warrant the city council or mayor from taking action. clearly that council/mayor/police chief will do nothing unless prompted by a large enough outcry, otherwise it would be admitting liability for the city/department and we all know that they will rarely, if ever, do that.

the problem we all face is that law enforcement is the largest street gang in america, deadlier than MS-13 even. this is because they have the full backing of the government and will hardly ever face any serious punishment.

I just wonder what planet you live on STY? You kill a cop, under any circumstances and certainly under these, you are going to spend life in prison at the very least. You are quite likely to be put to death for it in many states.

I don't know why you are always challenging people here on this? Because if you did any of the things you are daring others to do? You wouldn't be posting here.

You'd be on death row.

And please spare me the posts "So you support this behavior?"

Clearly, no. However, there is nothing in my post that is incorrect. There just isn't. You can't kill cops because they are using unreasonable force in making an arrest. All you can do is video it, and THAT is very likely to get you beaten and in some cases, arrested. But you can probably do that and still escape with your life and not spend the rest of it in prison. If you did any of the things Sty is challenging people here to do, you will be on death row. we know he doesn't do them, because he is not on death row. Period.

Don't even bring out the strawmen.

Maybe those with diabetes should have to wear a sign that warns others of their condition and they should only ride in cars that have license plates that show that their diabetics.

Either that or Police Officers should only be hired, when they can prove they have the ability to read minds and foresee the future.

Maybe police officers should be more aware and not just assume, it seems to me that many prefer to follow the philosophy of shoot first and ask questions afterwards.

or maybe they should be taught that kicking handcuffed suspects, whether in the throes of a diabetic shock or not, is clearly unlawful. maybe we should start sentencing cops to death for any crime whatsoever.

Maybe they should be trained to not beat the shit out of potentialy innocent people.

tell us darla, what is the answer? what do you propose we do? videotape them killing someone, risk getting killed ourselves, having our videos deleted as searches incident to arrest or death, and then seeing the prosecutor decline to press charges because they were simply following policy or there wouldn't be enough evidence to convict? what do you propose we do?

When do you intend to become a Police Officer, become a trainer, and show the new recruits how they're supposed to act?

But if that's a case then police are a serious problem in our system. How would you suggest rectifying it? (I'm asking seriously).

I thought those principles were enshrined in the Constitution, apparently not as far as you are concerned?

Since you completely avoided the presentation, it appears that it's safe to draw the conclusion that you don't have what it would take to join the force; but instead would rather just sit around and bitch.

in this case, clearly not killing them. if you know what is going on, approach them if you want and inform them their actions are likely illegal. have video camera because that is your greatest weapon. then the person can sue and the lawsuit should send a powerful message. also, petition the city to change the rules regarding firing police officers who engage in this kind of behavior and change the law to allow criminal prosecution without having such a high threshhold.

seriously? this is an internet messageboard, where ideas should flow. it is asinine to claim that anytime someone has an idea about something they should "join". if you don't like obama....run for office or stfu.

see how that works?

If someone is going to do nothing but bitch and moan, then they're not "sharing" ideas.

You seemed to take umbrage, regarding the flow of ideas about your intelligence.
