You have it all backwards. It is "found in nature" for animals to find pleasure in sexuality, including among their own sex, it is not "found in nature" for them to build and fly rockets to the moon. It is normal to do something that most people do, it is therefore not "normal" to fly planes. Most people do not do that. While many sit in some and are flown places and it is almost "normal" in the US, most people on this planet do not and have never been in an airplane. It is not "normal" or "natural" to do either.

Basically, no human could ever watch or adopt a child if we use the measure of "normal" and "natural", especially together. Everybody does something that is not "normal".

We've developed an impasse here on whether travel is natural. So for the sake of expediency let's move on.

Again, my issue is that I don't think folks should lie, and call something natural or normal when it ain't.

Travel is natural, on foot. Travel in an airplane is not. Travel is natural in the air if you have wings, it is not natural for an animal without one to construct a machine that allows them to do it.

Travel is natural without machinery. It is unnatural to enhance our speed using such a thing as an automobile.

You can pretend that there is some 'impasse' here, but until you find an animal specie other than humans that can build railroads, railroads aren't natural.

And my point is that is a nonsense measure, almost nothing we do is natural and normal.

That's like being mad that somebody has the gall to call it aqua when you think it is blue-green. Who the frick cares? Normal and natural are not the basis we should use for anything, because almost nothing we do is either of those things.

It isn't "normal" for us to spend so much time on a political message board, most people don't do it. But I'm glad we do, I get to have fun talking about ideas (once again not normal, most people would rather talk about things than ideas), and I am still allowed to adopt children, being "not normal" is no reason to refuse me. I also do something as unnatural as using the internet as a media of communication, in nature the only way we could communicate would be when we were close enough to hear or see each other.

Although I do this unnatural and rather not normal thing, I will continue to be allowed to adopt children raise them and nobody calls me queer... although less people do this than are homosexual.

I'm trying to avoid directly saying that somebody "is" <add something bad here>.

I believe that some ideas are stupid, but that most people are not stupid themselves. So I don't want to be in a habit of saying "she is stupid" when what I mean is "that is stupid"..., as it can lead to posting something that I do not believe or mean.

That post was on the line, and I want to build new habits not try to walk the line on something I am trying to kick.
