This is hate speech. What purpose does it serve? It attempts to shame, humiliate, and intimidate women and people of color into silence. It attempts to rob them of
their free speech.
Women writers were beginning to turn down assignments at places like salon.com, a site that attracts some of the most virulent misogynists on the internet. The comment sections under articles written by women are unreadable. You cunt. You fucking dried up cunt. You fucking whore. You fucking dumb bitch. You fucking unfuckable fucking bitch. I hope you get cancer in your cunt and die bitch.
All comments I have read. Hate. Rage. Pouring down on women like acid rain. How long can anyone withstand it? It takes its toll. Eventually some women do go away. They shut up. They run away from the hate, from the rage.

That is the beginning of a revolution. And there isn’t a word in there that doesn’t apply to men of color as well. Because they are often subject to the same kind of treatment.
Free speech has only ever been discussed here by white men. And white men have made the rules. But there’s a revolution in the works, and as usual the bitches started it. So you can bet that as we speak this is snowballing (I won’t bore a self-satisfied white guy like you with the details), and some shit is going to change.
After all, as Tina Fey always says – you want to get some shit done, you call a bitch. So look out. And enjoy your “Free speech” (read; hate speech) while it lasts.
Racists and women-haters will almost definitely always have a refuge from civilization here, however, the spots they can spew their bile in are going to be shrinking until finally, there are so few left that women and people of color will know how to avoid them.
