MOTHER@UCKER

while some who wear the uniform or the robe get lighter sentences, there are others who do not. the systems are different, the treatment is. just as celebs and rich people are often treated different, so it is with those in blue or black.

our framers of this nation created a system of justice to ensure equal treatment under the law. we've let ourselves be brainwashed in to thinking that public servants with supposedly dangerous jobs should get better treatment.

I agree that he needs to be held criminally liable for his behavior.
Are we now supposed to execute the daughter, seeing as how she's being abused and is more then likely unwanted and neglected?

I see you still have difficulty comprehending the idea of prevention.

i don't think it is brainwashed, we all know it and very few think they deserve it. unfortunately, the few control.

the few can only control if the people let them. it's that part of the brainwashing I hate. the idea that most people feel they can't change things, so they don't even try.

the only way for you and i to change a judges ruling is to appeal the decision or try and remove him or her from the bench. how many people can do that? people do try and change things, but it is easier said than done. we can't just toss judges every time we don't agree with a decision. if this judge or any police officer gets disparate treatment, your only remedy is to 1) go the media, 2) remove the judge or 3) vigilante justice. vigilante justice results in anarchy. i'm not saying every instance of VJ results in anarchy, but taken to its logical conclusion it will.

you mistake me for someone who doesn't believe injustices exist within out system for someone who does believe injustice exists, however, believes at the present moment our system is the best in the world.

while most of this is all true, i'm talking about dealing with things before that point. for example, why is jury nullification so frowned upon by the establishment?

So you're saying that she should have been aborted, before she was born; because there was a CHANCE that she was going to be abused and neglected or because you KNEW she was going to be abused and neglected?

Please make the "line in the sand" a little more clear.

If both her parents wanted her and were capable of providing for her then why would they consider abortion?

It took a lot of courage for her to post this. No way that was her first beating.

To me it looks like a clear cut case of assault and battery with good evidence.
The judge should go to jail.

Nah.... its time to go vigilante on his ass. The court system doesn't allow cruel and unusual punishment (rightfully so). This is one of those cases where a beat down is needed.

so here is the plan:

We all dress up in clown costumes (should be familiar for ditzie and jarod), grab some whiffle ball bats, find him when he is alone, beat the ever living snot out of him. What's he going to tell people? A bunch of clowns jumped me and beat me with whiffle ball bats?

People would never believe him. :burn:

another example of a two tiered justice system. who here NOT a part of the government would have been allowed to keep their firearms after this came out?
