Cain Gets Hit

As predicted: “They’re going to come after me more viciously than they would a white candidate,” Cain responded. “You’re right. Clarence Thomas. And so, to use Clarence Thomas as an example, I’m ready for the same high-tech lynching that he went through — for the good of this country.” Cain smiled broadly. “I’m ready for the same high-tech lynching.”

Like the way they went after President Clinton?

So you belvie this is about Race?

This is the liberal media in action.....they couldn't possibly sit on this story and take the risk that another news outlet would scoop them.....
I'm surprised they kept it under the radar this long really.....

POLITICO is the one with the story isn't it ?

Not to highjack the thread...but Jarod...get a fuckin' clue already....don't come on like this is news to you and the fact of the matter has not been vetted for years....

Its ancient history and not deniable except by brainless hacks

So if someone does one thing bad, that is evidece that every other allegation is true.

I disagree and the Florida Evidence Code disagrees.

So you are going to scream racism everything a negative allegation about Cain sufraces?

You must be the only person dumb enough to believe Clinton didn't lie about Flowers. And no, I didn't scream racism.

So if someone does one thing bad, that is evidece that every other allegation is true.

In Cain's case, the allegation of wrong doing will be quite enough....its obvious it is enough for Darla....

One of the accusations was that Cain invited the women to his suite at some convention or whatever it was....
I guess an invitation to visit you is now harassment....and picking her up if she fell would be assault...(well, only for Republicans)

if cain is to survive this he needs to get out in front of it but so far he has bungled it with first a denial and then a confirmation that allegations were made

he may claim proudly that he is not a politician, but he is running for a political office and needs to have a campaign staff that knows what it is doing and should have had him prepared for this

Cain scares the left- hence all the smearing. The need that lefty loons have, to first claim Cain, knows his place, and then when that is not getting traction, and indeed makes most disgusted with them, the new tactic is to impugn his character and then to say it is being done by those in his own party... Their sweat reeks of fear.

The Left is scared of Cain; because they're worried that if Cain wins, the the Right's Black Guy will look better then the Left's Black Guy and will result in all the Blacks, who are upset with Obama, to vote for Cain.
Just watch how hard they work, in an attempt to discredit Cain.
Let the "smearing" begin.

All two of them?

Get real, Damo. The accusations against Herman Cain did not arise as soon as he started gaining political momentum, but arose years ago when the events allegedly occurred.

LOL. I think it is a hit piece.

I mean, seriously...

They can't tell you who, what, or anything about it. You find out that Cain didn't even know that the Association paid anything, and was quite surprised considering that the investigation found the allegations without merit.

At this point, it seems to be a simple hit piece, a bunch of rubbish brought up from the grave it merited to attack a conservative black dude.

That is not necessarily true. It would be a good strategy to run a hit piece against someone that you don't want to win the nomination of the opposing party during the primary. For one, it would appear that it was a primary opponent that did the hit. Second, it may be enough to knock off the one you would least like to face.

That said, to be very clear, I would also guess this was a hit piece by Rep leadership. Just pointing out that there are reasons for an opposing party to hit a primary candidate.

As long as you agree with me in the end, I really don't care how you get there SF. You don't have to show your work. Finally you are probably realizing that I'm always right and that is causing these internal contortions. lol

Yes, this is theoretically possible and I'm sure it's happened. But usually not. I think looking at the last Dem primary is highly instructive. We saw accusations made against both HIllary and Obama that were really out of bounds. Now, maybe someone somewhere said it was the Republicans, but I never saw it here. I certainly never said or thought it. It's stupid. That was the biggest internecine brawl in modern times and Republicans enjoyed the hell out of it, as I would if the situations were reversed.

This is way too early and the field is far from settled for any opposition party to be involved. I just hope they find out whose fingerprints are on this, but Politico is claiming to have broken the story themselves. Anyone who knows Politico knows that's LOL funny. I figure either Romney, or, it could have been someone who was looking at Cain as being a strong contender for a VP pick...and who is looking at that slot for themselves. I don't know who that would be, Perry maybe. But I can't picture a Romney/Perry ticket only because of, you know, the hair.

LOL You can think that all you want, but I was watching CNN this morning and the big story of the morning is:

IT DEPENDS ON WHAT THE MEANING OF SETTLEMENT IS LMAO

uh uh uh, no, never heard anything about it. what? who am i?

oh, there was no settlement.

oh, i remember something...a gesture? Who are you?

oh, there was an agreement. not a settlement. did you mean an agreement? I thought you meant a settlement. I never heard of a settlement. where are we?

oh i hope they didn't pay them much because nothing happened i remember everything it was just a gesture. silly really. have you met my wife?

LOL

Why is the fact that he is black relevant to your point?
