Bush's 9-year war to finally end this year

Many in the GOP wanted Troops in Iraq forever, much like we do with South Korea, Germany and Japan.

According to some reports Moqtada Al Sadr is upset because there will still remain 19,000 (or a bit more) at the new "Embassy"...

He says it is still "occupation".

And we absolutely should get our troops out of South Korea, they are now rich enough to defend themselves from North Korea. Bases in Germany and Japan ensure that these nations can spend minutely on military because they can rely on our protection. The amount of their GDP spent on military is much smaller than ours, which frees up more government cash to spend on social projects.... However, if the US left they would need to spend on their own military protection. I prefer that too...

Can you elaborate on how American service members affected change in Libya? How were they tactically or strategically necessary to do so? How were our efforts unable to be matched by other NATO nations or by Egypt or the Libyans themselves. What were the fundamental tactical and/or strategic successes of American efforts? Because if you can't answer even one of these questions, you are ignorant and educationally unqualified to participate in this discussion.

U.S. Planes Have Flown 3,475 Sorties Since Libya Mission Was Handed Over To NATO

U.S. aircraft continue to fly support [ISR and refueling] missions, as well as strike sorties under NATO tasking,” AFRICOM spokeswoman Nicole Dalrymple said in an emailed statement. “As of today, and since 31 March, the U.S. has flown a total of 3,475 sorties in support of OUP. Of those, 801 were strike sorties, 132 of which actually dropped ordnance.”

And which one of my questions did that answer? 3500+ sorties and less than 150 dropped/expended ordinance? Yeah, that's a War winner there.

You going to be very long deriding the job our men and women in the Armed Forces did in helping to liberate Iran?

Because it seems kind of odd, you being ex-military and running down the job your fellow soldiers did and all.

Are you really that desperate to get in another cheap shot on Obama?

Me too.

Saying that they were not tactically or strategically essential to the objective of ousting Ghaddfi isn't deriding the job they did, or a cheap shot at Obama (as I've approved of his intervention from the get go as well). I'm saying that giving him credit for anything other than relatively minor assitance is simply trying to force feed his dick into your mouth.

Go for the Peace Prize.....

Among other actions,
Order Navy Seals to kill OBL and others at his compound
Backed uprising and riots in Egypt
Drone strike to kill US citizen, Anwar al-Awlaki, and collateral damage...
Backed civil war and foreign air strikes in Libya, killing Gadhafi supporters
and leading to execution of Gadhafi, etc.

In 6 months the US has used troops or drone strikes
in at least seven countries on two continents....

Dispatched 100 "military adviser's" to Uganda
Sent 13,000 troops to Afghanistan, then another surge that increased US
totals to about 100,000 troops....

The world is damn lucky this guy knows war is a last resort and is for peace.....

You guys are hilarious. I thought for you the only good Muslim was a dead Muslim. You should be dancing in the street over the above.

i'm shocked you would defend onceler....just shocked

you never call out anyone on the left, why should we expect any different now?

Please. All christie did was accurately say what anyone who read through this thread knows.

I can't believe you're still sticking to your lunacy.
