Founder and CEO of Replacements, Ltd, Bob Page is openly gay and offers same sex benefits to his workers.

He and his partner have been together for 22 years and adopted twin boys from Vietnam 11 years ago.

He believes an amendment could keep other businesses from locating here.

"Corporate America I think is far ahead of the curve as far as rights for gay people as compared to our politicians and especially our politicians here in North Carolina," stated Page.

Republican and House Pro-tempore Dale Folwell said the ban or law in NC has been around for nearly 16 years. He added, if it has not deterred businesses from locating in our state, neither would an amendment.

the reason they put it on the ballott was because they were afraid that the queers would riot and attack the govenor and the state reps.
 
So its ok to offer gay couples the same benefits, as long as you don't call it "marriage"?

Ballot is with one "t". And just like the n-word...if you say the "q-word", in the wrong place, you're liable to get some "b-words" upside your head.

There have been a few issues decided by the will of the people on ballots, yet activist judges have struck the results down. Do you call that democracy?

The amendment process is to include the will of the people. It is the gay lobby that wants to prevent that. They are protesting about it now.

When one lies and misrepresents, as a rule (Alias, and the cast of right wing nuts, here)...it becomes difficult to deal with the truth being thrown in one's face. I sympathize...but continue.

No, and rightly so. That's why we instituted a republic, so as to maintain the rights of the minority from the tyranny of the majority.
