WASHINGTON—In the latest administration initiative meant to reassure citizens nervous about the slow pace of economic recovery, President Obama proposed a tax hike this week for the shittiest, most self-absorbed 2 percent of Americans. "In challenging times like this, I believe it is only fair that our country's hugest jerks should bear the largest share of the tax burden," Obama said of the increase that will reportedly affect those who cut people off in traffic as well as those who point and laugh when they see someone fall down. "Hopefully, this proposal will serve as a wake-up call to people who behave in ways that are totally uncool yet who never seem to pay a price for it." The increase has been widely criticized by Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) as well as an estimated 97 percent of the nation's wealthiest citizens.

I know it's humor, but I think there is a very brilliant underlying point here... We can see the absurdity of trying to tax "mean" people, but we fail to see the absurdity in taxing "rich" people. In actuality, we tax the income of people... they may be mean, they may be rich, and it may have everything or nothing to do with their income. We can't tax the "rich" any more than we could tax the "mean" or the "greedy" or any other attribute.

Uhhh what taxes? He cut taxes as part of the stimulus plan and reauthorized the Bush era tax cuts. Also, wasn't it Bush who signed those trade agreements with China? Man, what drugs are you on?
 
Whatever happened to the wealthiest 1% Obama claimed that needed to pay more?

2% is bullcrap! He will tax the top 20% and increase the numbers on the bottom so they wont have to pay. F@ck Em!

The only people more ignorant than those in Michigan are the twits found in Ohio and those that went to USC. It is therefore safe to assume he wouldn't be intelligent enough to recognize that it was from the onion.

Shooting a cat wouldn't necessarily hurt it. Shot placement on a cat is critical. I've found that a bit of catnip dangling from the barrel of a 12 ga insures a painless demise. Messy, but painless.
