You have but one week to come to your economic senses. Democrats want one thing, republicans another. Petty minded is not the half of it.
You are so tied up with individual, silly little playground, pebble kicking hatreds that neither Democrats not Republicans can see what they are doing.
Get this America:
China owns your arse! (told you you wouldn't like it)
China owns your arse. What China wants is a resolution.
What China doesn't want is the figurative killing of the president.
You cannot exist without China (an unfortunate and distasteful truth). You cannot function as an economy without healthy foreign trade based upon trust and stability.
Whatever you think personally, your trading partners are the people who matter. (All your trading partners, not only China). So, supporters of Bony (or whatever the hell he is called) get real, you are the ones who the rest of the world sees as sacrificing your country on the altar to extreme and insane right wing hatred. That's what we see! It doesnt matter of it is not 100% accurate, its what the world sees.
The Democrats policy might well not be the best policy out there, but Obama MUST win this battle. He may backtrack later if necessary but he MUST win this.
The stupidity that we see is an absolute, willfully ignorant stupidity by people who, not only do not understand, but who will not understand.
And this bit you can bank: If you lose your AAA status the right wingers are going to scream from their white rooftops that it is all the fault of the 'nigger in the whitehouse', but they wont actually use those words because they dont have the balls to be honest with themselves.

This just says it all, don't it? I mean, basically, he is saying, it doesn't matter if the right is right, and the left is wrong, the world sees the right as being 'obstructionists' and the left as being patriots, and it doesn't matter what the facts are regarding the issue. Well, if the world is just going to bow up and view the right as 'wrong' and everything their fault, what difference does it make what the right does? Why not stick to our guns, take it to the mat, go down fighting all the way? Shut down the government, declare default, let the economic collapse happen! Might as well, the right is going to be blamed for it anyway, right?

No, Dixie, that is not what I am saying. I'm saying that the world wants a resolution to this problem and that it does not matter who is right or wrong. What matters is resolution and the success of the ruling party (which happens to be Democrat).
If you (republicans) go against the government you will be seen as the destroyer. Your credibility will be even worse than it is at present. It would be the same if the position was reversed.
When are people in America realise that the days of Davy Crocket are over. You are part of the big wide world now, like it or not.

But here's the thing, we can do one of two things here... we can take measures to reduce our irresponsible deficit spending, and encourage economic expansion and growth for the future --OR-- we can continue to ignore the debt and deficits, and do things to discourage economic growth and expansion. The financial players on the world stage, would much rather have a responsible America who is taking proactive steps to reel in the debt and pay their obligations. World markets would respond favorably to spending cuts without tax increases, because it would mean likely economic prosperity in the near future.

This isn't about party or left and right, this is about basic economics and common sense, mostly. You and president Obama want to stand up there and call on Republicans to lay down, roll over, cave on their principles... and pretend that would be the 'reasonable' thing for them to do here! I happen to think, if they even CONTEMPLATE doing that, they are TOAST! Perhaps it's time for you and Obama to EAT YOUR PEAS?

What the fuck does this even mean? Destroyers of WHAT exactly? The Democrats have not submitted a budget in two years! This president submitted one, but it was so bad his own Democrats couldn't vote for it! The Republican House, so far, are the only legislative body to pass ANYTHING! Democrats refuse to support anything passed by the Republican House... we have Gridlock in Congress! But it's not two parties with opposing plans, it's one party with a plan and another party who will not submit a plan or support the opposition plan. In spite of the fact the Democrats have offered absolutely NOTHING in the way of a plan... what exactly do you propose Republicans do about that? If "the world" wants to view it as whatever... I can't be concerned with stupid people, I don't really care how it's viewed to be honest.

Sorry tool, we're not on the Parliamentary system. Somehow the Democrats need to find a way towards compromise, which mean they are going to have to overcome Obama's problems.

WHAT??? UNDER??? No, I am sorry sir, you have us confused with the UK or some Eurotrash government where the peasants are UNDER the president, and simply do as he says! We can argue and fight, right fucking NOW! That's what our country is founded on! Our government does not operate at the behest of the president, it never has, and hopefully never will. We have a Congress, and a system which has been in place for a while now, and seems to work pretty well for us.

This is when Democrats and Obama need to have a 'Come To Jesus' moment... except, I don't think they believe in Jesus... They need to realize the Republicans aren't (and CAN'T) back down on this, the people will boot them ALL out of office in they cave. No tax increases... Significant spending cuts. That is what the Republicans proposed.. Cut, Cap, and Balance. Democrats have not presented AANYYYTHINGGGG....... is something about this not resonating???? It's hard for Republicans to accept nothing! How is that possible?

The Republicans must accept responsibility for the Democrats failing to put forth a plan and rejecting the Republican plan? How do you figure that? Again, for the stupid.. Republicans passed a plan in the House, it was rejected by the Senate Democrats. The Democrats have no plan, they haven't submitted anything, they want to increase the debt limit without any plan. Republicans refuse to do that, it would be irresponsible from an economic standpoint, to do that. If we just increase the debt ceiling, without addressing the debt itself, what message does that send to the world? That it's Republicans fault the world has no confidence we'll ever pay off our debt? Yeah, probably.
