On Friday, more than 24,000 pages of e-mails Ms. Palin sent as governor, mostly using private accounts, are to be released in response to public records requests first made in 2008.

MSNBC, ProPublica and Mother Jones magazine are working with a research company to create an online database of the documents.

News organizations also intend to assemble their own searchable online databases of the documents, and some were asking readers Thursday to help reporters sift through the voluminous correspondence in the coming days.

Palin frequently used her personal e-mail account to discuss state business, including with her husband, and those e-mails have been determined to be public record.

Given past reports and that so many e-mails are being withheld and others redacted, many people question what light these new releases might shed...

The only thing this will show, I guess, is an extremely unhealthy obsession with a moron. Sad when you have so many brilliant people you could be obsessed with.

Thank you for the well-meant advice. I look forward to returning the favor.

After the kissy kissy crap, you two can have a circle jerk to start off the party....

Legion creating another Palin hater thread?

Lemme guess- you were rejected by the pretty girl in middle school, and you haven't had a date since...

As Sarah Palin toys with running for the US presidency, voters have apparently made up their minds for her.

A new CBS News opinion poll shows 66 per cent do not want the former Republican vice-presidential candidate to enter the White House race.

Most informative for Ms Palin's deliberations is a breakdown of the poll results indicating 54 per cent of Republican voters and 50 per cent of ultra-conservative Tea Party supporters do not want her to seek her party's nomination.

The former Alaskan governor, who attracts considerable publicity because of her unconventional style, public gaffes and charismatic appeal among some conservative voters, said months ago she would only run "if there's nobody else to do it". Dissatisfaction with a weak field of Republican contenders to match Democrat President Barack Obama has helped keep her name in the spotlight.

Ms Palin did nothing to discourage questions about her ambitions during a highly publicized "One Nation" bus tour of eastern US states over the past fortnight. The purpose of the tour has yet to be explained.

In a sign her campaign could be over even before it starts, only 34 per cent of Republican voters and 38 per cent of Tea Party supporters in the poll want Ms Palin to seek her party's nomination.

She faces renewed scrutiny overnight when more than 24,000 pages of emails she sent as Alaskan governor will be released almost three years after they were requested by journalists and local political activists.

With much criticism over her past administration in Alaska, there is intense speculation about the contents of six boxes of emails to be released.

Wow, I don't know if I've ever seen the newsies seeking volunteers to read through e-mails from somebody who isn't in office and not currently running for anything.

I'm stunned at the amount of PDS this underlines.

I'm stunned at the amount of fail in Sarah's schtick.

If she really was as stupid as the MSM wants you to believe they wouldn't waste two minutes on her. Instead, they hire Investigators...

You mean like Trump did to check on Obama, birther-curious?

Doesn't your media treat all 'celebrities' in the same manner?

(because ours certainly does)

If she really was as smart as the Dalai Damocles and his faithful flock want you to believe, they wouldn't waste two minutes defending her. Instead, they compulsively reply...
