GM to pay more than $400 million in worker bonuses

You got a problem with the worker bee's getting a bonus???!!! These are blue collar workers getting this!

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110214/ap_on_re_us/us_general_motors_bonuses

These are not wall street criminals getting millions in bonus money! The banks have not repayed all of their tax payer bailout loans, yet they still give out huge bonuses too!

i was against those bonuses as well, ooops, busted your lie about double standards.....unfortunately, many were under contract and the admin's hands were tied. this bonus is not a contract. and its hilarious how you make this about worker bees ONLY, if you read the article with an honest eye, you would see its not just blue collar, but also execs. not all WS bankers are criminals you lying hack....your bias is duly noted.

do you enjoy making a fool out of yourself everyday?

I'm not at all anti china. I was anti Detroit before anti Detroit was cool. Unions ate thier young. A decade ago paying 75,000 annually to screw in light bulbs didn't add up. Obama sociast motors is the proof.

It's seems that I'm more patriotic than you, I have bought a substantial amount of MolyCorp shares. China has a near monopoly in rare earth minerals and MolyCorp has just reopened the Mountain Pass mine in California. Evidently you are more than happy to allow China to hold a gun to your head.

I'm not a dimwit libtard like you. Spin the wheel on your rare earth gamble. I'm a blue chip industry leader investor. Oh only American companies. Claiming patriot is as gay as Dixie.

Well at least you haven't recycled the pathetic chicklets joke. When I bought Molycorp in 2009 they were trading at less than $10, they are now at $48.

Sell now. And when you said patriot, did you mean your still loyal to the queen. England not your boyfriend.

I watch it everyday, but surely you would think that as it is the only mine in the US producing REM in substantial quantities then it ought to be supported? I cannot understand how you can allow yourselves to be held hostage by China considering that they just have announced that they are cutting back exports by 35.000 tonnes per year?

Molycorp doesn't even make positive earnings. Lots of highly speculative stocks go in and out of fads.

That's bullshit. I had and still do have family working in the auto industry. The cost of labor wasn't nearly as significant as the fact they made cars people didn't want to buy. The cost of labor wasn't an issue when gas was a buck 75 a gallon and people were buying the GM land yachts. When Gas hit $4/gallon and no one wanted those big gas guzzlers and sales dropped of the cliff then high labor costs became an issue. Ford survived cause they made the necessary changes to the market place and the still pay high union wages (and guess what? Non-union shops like Honda, Toyota, BMW, & Hyundai pay comparable wages in this country cause they know if they don't they'll be unionized.) but they were selling cars people actually wanted to buy. If you think GM and Chrysler drove off the cliff due to unions then stick to the petroleum business. You're acumen doesn't cross over to manufacturing.

If you think they weren't in trouble until $4 gas, you need to tell me where you get your drugs.
And thanks for the comedy $75,000 a year a decade ago didn't have any affect. LOFL
Ask the workers in Mexico if they get the same 75K. bahahha

Companies fail daily. Do you think gm would be planting trees if they didn't become Obama motors?

Hey bean counter...if US auto industries had been allowed to fail, it would have effected even foreign manufactures that have assembly plants here. Many suppliers and secondary industries that supply, transport and market autos would have gone under with the big auto makers. They also supply Toyota and other foreign manufactures in the US. But the $64,000 question for you Einstein...WHAT happens to the millions of people who lose their jobs? Do they evaporate? Or, do they go from being taxpayers investing in the economy to folks that end up on the public dole?

Hey one who never stepped in an economics class, companies fail, recessions happen.

So your buying stock in GM and chrysler I presume. I wouldn't touch them with your money much less mine. Tie yourself to that sinking ship if you like, I'd rather invest in non socialist companies that don't plant trees in lue of making a car people want.
