Most of those on this board who are "gun nuts" are married. So not only did we attract women, we found at least one who wanted to spend the rest of her life with us.

Can you provide verifiable evidence that gun buffs are causing any sort of problem with violent crime?

Can you provide verifiable evidence that gun buffs present any sort of danger to the population at large other than extremely isolated & unrelated events?

Why is it that guns are so popular in a nation that prides itself in its ability to manipulate its population? A population that is probably more chicken shit scared of their own shadow than anyone else on the planet.

The idea that people only own guns out of a sense of fear is ridiculous. The fact that many (if not most) gun owners have hobbies like hunting or recreational target shooting that make those guns less a response to fear and more of a response to a positive activity.


But lets explore the entire "fear" thing. Do most people have deadbolt or good locks on their homes? Why?

Do most people have a fire extinguisher in their home? Are they in "fear" of fires?

Do most people lock their cars when they leave them? Why? Is it fear?

When most people go to their car in a dark parking lot, are they careful to have their keys ready or do they check around their car? Why? Is it fear?

When people, especially women, are driving in an unfamiliar area, do they lock the car doors? Why? Is it fear?

When most people see a motorist in need of assistance they don't stop. They might call 911, but they don't stop. Why? Is it fear?

Mojo, when all you do is post links and ask questions, and you never answer any questions yourself, you sorta lose the credibility necessary to demand evidence of any sort. Especially evidence that would mean providing personal information to strangers.

Unless you have some reason to doubt that the gun buffs here are married (several have posted pics of their wives & families), there is no need for such.

I demand evidence for a wholesale condemnation of gun buffs, such as the statement made by Topper. The evidence I have of the marital status is simply the discussion of wives and families by those posting here.
