Look... because of her polarizing nature, she probably didn't ever stand much of a chance running for President. It's kind of one of those things... you gotta be liked... by a LOT of different people, and as great as Sarah is with her base, I am not sure she has enough support from others, namely, beltway conservatives, elites, and libertarian types... no one is going to appeal to the liberal left, and everyone is going to be drug through the mud by the MSM, that is to be expected.

I actually think she is knowingly implementing a "tar baby" strategy... Those of you under 30, may not know what I am talking about, because it has become politically incorrect to talk about Uncle Remus these days... I personally loved the old Uncle Remus stories, they were full of great life lessons... The Tar Baby was one of them... Sarah Palin is the Tar Baby... Democrat Liberals are flailing away at her, but they are hurting themselves in the process. If she can 'run interference' for Conservatives, and remain the focus of intensity with Liberals, it will help other viable candidates out there, because they can't go after everybody. Not sure that's what's happening here, but I wouldn't doubt it... Palin probably knows full well she isn't going to run for president... but why not feed red meat to the idiots on the left, and let them exhaust their rhetoric before the REAL candidate comes along? ...Pretty smart strategy for a 'dumb' woman, huh?

So taking one for the team in other words? Well liberal Willie Brown called her a political genius a few years back for leaving Alaska and becoming national. She does a damn good job of marketing herself and becoming rich in the process. But yeah to win the Presidency you have to win more than your base as you stated. Her comment about blood libel probably really appeals to those who like her most. I just don't think it does or did anything to bring more people over to her side.

I'm just speaking out loud here. Like I said I'm a Christian but I'm no theologian. I'm going to assume (possibly wrongly) that many people (like me) didn't know what the term met so then it gets left up to media to describe it to us. Why even use a term like that? I understand it may appeal to some Christians but it just seems like she could have used an example that everyone could understand and the media couldn't twist.

Maybe she used that term because she assumed it was familiar to us and we knew what it meant....
That we would understand its meaning as used in the context she used it....

rather than rely on how the msm spins it...look it up,.,.,apply its uncomplicated meaning meaning to the issue at hand....without prejudice.

To be accused unjustly...thats the simple meaning....and it applies here....

Because, to me, this incident made it clear and more obvious that such rhetoric is uncool and inapproperate. Not because it CAUSES this type of tragety, but because this type of tragety happens and such rhetoric MIGHT make it seem even a little bit more acceptable to a crazy person.
