Yeah, this is actually old news. We've also noted how this particular name is on it:

Giffords, Gabrielle (AZ-08)

And that it says that these people have a "bulls eye" on them. We wondered whether somebody was going to go on and on about how such evil rhetoric caused the lunatic to go off.

Personally I think it was just a lunatic and he went off regardless of all this rubbish and it is a disgusting disregard respecting those lives that were lost... I think we should maybe aim at finding out what was in the lunatic's head before we start off listing "dangerous" rhetoric.

Caitie Parker did not immediately respond to our request for an interview, but her "tweets" in the hours after the shooting paint a picture of Jared Loughner as a substance-abusing loner who had met Giffords before the shooting. She says, Loughner described the congresswoman as "stupid and unintelligent."

Actually, it wasn't backpedaling all, as the article describes the content of what Palin put forth as opposed to the Dems, and the ACCOMPANYING vitrol that oozed out of the GOP/teabagger/oather/birther campaign at the time.

And as any advertiser worth their salt will tell you, packaging is everything....a symbol of a bullseye signifies a target to be shot at, as opposed to arrows point to states that are targets for voting efforts.

Yes, hyperbol is not exclusive to either party....but only a fool would try to equalize the nasty, threatening hysterics of the GOP since the 2008 elections to the retalitory albeit rhetoric of the Dems.
