Thats like asking me to prove water is wet.
You don't need any "proof".....ALL pinhead freeloaders are liberal....and visa versa......especially visa versa.

Fees ? Insurance ? Thats not the point.

The point is, some purchases are time dependent.....it too late to contract with a fire company for fire protection after your house starts to burn.
Have some six year old to explain it to you....

I'm smart enough to know that if it was all about the money, they would have taken the cash and opened the hoses. A $75 fee isn't the same as State Farm paying for the replacement value of home and possessions, and we both know it. Unfortunately you act like any break given to another means one coin less in your pocket.

Depends on who your talking about....to the freeloader, it was all about money

to the Fire Fighters, it wasn't about the money....are you just getting that....?
and
Happenings in South Fulton, TENNESSEE doesn't cost me a dime....

And just FYI....I do pay a nearby town for fire protection....and as a matter of fact, also for ambulance service....and our little community just agreed to levy a free on residents for police protection; from the State Police no less....
As you can guess, its a conservative area, we don't freeload on anyone.

STY, you're surprising me. You are so anti-government, always talking about sticking it to the man, yet you seem to be on the side of gov't. in this case.

What's up with that?
You have to ask?
Its just extraordinary....you people truly just don't get it....

So what? Most of us pay for different services in our communities. But I wouldn't begrudge someone for getting fire service if they didn't pay a fee because I put a higher premium on saving property and lives than you do.

I'm sure those residents in TN. would agree to the "higher premium on saving life"......(No lives were at risk here)....Property is no different than money....use it wisely, or lose it..... its your "responsibility"......you probably need to look that up....

Four animals died in the fire, but don't trouble yourself over their lives.

I still believe they should have saved the house and hit the guy with a large fine because otherwise no one would ever pay the $75 fee ahead of time if they could just wait until a fire to pay. But if this guy had four animals he was responsible for then he failed even more by not paying his annual fee. That's flat out irresponsibility.

Well with the 75 bucks he saved, he can go by 4 more goldfish.....

I'm not on the side of the government. the problem i'm having is you seem to want to blame the fire department for following the city policy. you fail to see the hypocrisy in your laying of blame. what is it you want? you cannot have a government department do whatever it wants and expect things to just 'pan itself out'. it never has and never will work that way. If you want to blame someone, try blaming the city and county. It is their rules and policies that bound this fire department to it's actions.

Don't get upset, this is just bravo spouting his True Christian Ethics.

The people of South Fulton will say nice things about the man who lost his house, and they'll have a canned food drive at church and they'll hold a bake sale at school. All thee things will help raise a small pittance that they will then give to the man which in turn they hope will help assuage their guilt at their complete and total inaction while o the scene and Conservative's subsequent horrifying lack of empathy.

Eventually they will go back to their churches and they will forget about the man whose house the firefighters just let burn while they watched...and their guilt will fade.

You of such high moral character...

You of such high moral character...

After the story broke, Glenn Beck used his soapbox to LAUGH about the man's predicament...while Keith Olbermann used his to hold an impromptu telethon to raise money to help the poor man.

Conservatives...FOR torture; laughed about a homeless man's plight.

Liberals...AGAINST torture; raised money to help the newly homeless man.

Yeah...us Liberals DO have higher moral character than you self-serving conservatives.

Awesome set up to demonstrate your moral failure.

Although liberal families' incomes average 6 percent higher than those of conservative families, conservative-headed households give, on average, 30 percent more to charity than the average liberal-headed household ($1,600 per year vs. $1,227).

-- Conservatives also donate more time and give more blood.

-- Residents of the states that voted for John Kerry in 2004 gave smaller percentages of their incomes to charity than did residents of states that voted for George Bush.

-- Bush carried 24 of the 25 states where charitable giving was above average.

-- In the 10 reddest states, in which Bush got more than 60 percent majorities, the average percentage of personal income donated to charity was 3.5. Residents of the bluest states, which gave Bush less than 40 percent, donated just 1.9 percent.

-- People who reject the idea that "government has a responsibility to reduce income inequality" give an average of four times more than people who accept that proposition.

Are you implying Conservatives are attempting to BUY their way to a clear conscience?

Because when the day is done...CONSERVATIVES SUPPORT TORTURING THEIR FELLOW HUMAN BEINGS.

Couldn't that be exactly what Olbermann was doing then? Is there a difference between one donating their earned income to charity vs. hosting a show to raise money for charity?

All you've done here is repeat the same baseless assertion. This time after I just proved you wrong. :)

Whatever their reasons for donating, everyone who donated is still a step ABOVE Glenn Beck, who laughed about the plight of that S. Fulton man whose home burned while firemen watched.

When did Beck laugh at the guy? I think you took this out of context. Time for you to man-up and supply some proof.

I met a fairy today that would grant me one wish.

I told her I wanted to live forever,

"Sorry" said the fairy, "I'm not allowed to grant wishes like that!"

"Fine," I said, "I want to die after the Democrats get their heads out of their asses!"

to which to fairy replied, "You crafty bastard"
Ah, I see, mental illness, it does work!
