A democrat cozies up to the wealthy and powerful corp = good

You have such a hard time separating concepts.

Both Obama & Pelosi are singling out policies & actions. They are not expressing points of view that are "anti-wealth" in general, or that indicates that they won't associate with or seek support from wealthy people (who they happen to be, also).

I realize you don't really understand that, but it is what it is.

I would add, I sorely wish that both Obama & Pelosi would take drastic action to further limit corporate money in politics, but realize that they will not, and that we're probably stuck w/ it.

your reading comprehension is horrible...i'm not talking about anti wealth, i'm talking about the hypocrisy of the left crying that the gop is the party for the wealthy, for corps, for wall street....but don't say shit when the left cozies up to them

obama flat out paints the gop as for the wealthy, as does pelosi...but neither of them have any problem sidling up to the same people they criticize the gop for and its absolutely dishonest or stupid of you to claim that the majority of the left does not cast the gop as the party for the wealthy, for the whites, for the corps, banks, wall street....seriously, you're making a fool out of yourself with these claims

No, I'm not. Again, it's just a stupid thread. The Democrats have always had wealthy friends & supporters - in addition to many of them being wealthy themselves. The article you posted for Obama had him opposing more tax breaks for the wealthy....that's a completely separate concept.

I can't make you understand it. I don't want the Bible taught in public schools, but I'm not anti-Christian, and I'm friends with Christians, and in fact, I happen to be Christian myself.

Hope that helps. But you probably still don't get it, and think this thread was the height of incisive political commentary.

really onceler....really....the majority of the left doesn't pain the right as the party for the wealthy, for the corps, banks wallstreet....

you keep trying to spin what i'm saying and claiming i'm saying the left isn't rich, the left is anti wealth...i've never said that, you're just a moron who can't comprehend what people are talking about

no one in their right mind would claim the left doesn't make the claims mentioned above....i should save this thread for laughs in the future

I didn't expect you to get it. I've become well-aware of your mental limitations.

When a Democrat does talk about the GOP being "the party of the wealthy" or some such phrase - and some occasionally do - they are talking about policies, Yurt. They're talking about taxation that favors wealthier groups, or loopholes for corporations, or opposing policies that give the poor & middle class a better leg up.

What they don't mean is "The GOP is made up of wealthy people who hang out with wealthy people, while us Democrats are all poor & middle class, and hang out with only others who are poor & middle class."

I mean, that's just dopey....

another example of obama "not" painting republicans as the party for corporations...

another onceler proves himself a total moron...at first i thought you were just being dishonest, but you really believe your claims....lmao...

Right; and he's advocating policies that don't reward corporations for sending jobs overseas. So, if I support that, I'm anti-corporation?

Only in Yurt-world. There is nothing hypocritical about him going to a fundraiser with Google & some rich people, unless he then comes out w/ some policy that is clearly influenced by favoritism toward Google or those donors.

Kirk campaign held “Bejing fundraiser” day before tax loophole vote

Wednesday, Oct 20, 2010

* Congressman Mark Kirk’s US Senate campaign has been plagued by strange internal leaks for months. And now we have one that includes a plan for a “Bejing fundraiser,” which was held the day before a House vote to close tax loopholes for companies that send jobs out of the country.

* The Kirk campaign says that the candidate held a “Skype” fundraising meeting with American businesspeople in Bejing, China. I’m told that 12 people participated in the event.

FEC records show that Geoffrey Enck contributed $1,000 to Kirk that day. Enck is the CEO of ITI China Holdings. One of the things the company does is investment banking for Chinese manufacturing plants.

* And then the next day, Kirk voted “No” on a bill to close a tax loopholes that would prevent companies from “using current U.S. foreign tax credit rules to subsidize their foreign activities .”

Those Chinese are really slipping.....they bought a US President in the 1990's and now they're down to buying unknown Congressmen....sad.....well, I guess Obama is already taken.

Now, now....relax.....we all know those fat cats are just giving their money to Obama out of the goodness in their hearts.....they just hoping the Democrats will raise their taxes 10 fold and make them give all their employees free healthcare and triple their wages......

Well, then maybe it's a good thing, because the 1990's saw 23.1 million jobs created, the most jobs created under any President since the Labor Department started keeping payroll records in 1939. It was a very prosperous time for Americans and we had a balanced budget and an erased deficit.

This anit-wealth, anti-business, anti-American values bullshit has been all over Faux news for the last few weeks. Of course the wingnuts here will regurgitate it. Just the other day Hannity was talking about Obama's anti-business agenda. What he was really saying was Obama is against outsourcing our production to communist countries who in return dump slush money into our electoral system to persuade the brainwashed idiots here to cut their own throats. When Beck or Limbaugh talk about 'our' country they don't mean workers, they mean Bush's Base of capitalists who invest in multinational corporations and the whole 'free market' bullshit that has driven us inches from another conservative ideology inspired depression.

I don't watch Fox to discover all of this about leftists. I simply interact with leftists online, at school, at social events, in town, etc., and they pretty much do nothing except offer anti-business and anti-wealth strawpersons all day long.

lawd you are stupid

as "some occasionally" do...lmao...you're a delusion basket case

its really stupid for you to maintain this kick about "policies"....no shit onceler...really, i thought they were talking about aliens

you last sentence is a red herring...i never claimed that, but you are now entering your usual dishonest area because you've made a fool of yourself and realize so you will try to spin what i've been saying and then call me crazy etc....thread is too short for your bullshit oncler

Great points, Yurt. Onceler, you're stupid; you're such a moron. And you're dishonest, Onceler.

You know I'm right, which is why you're bailing. This was a stupid thread.

another obama "not" claiming the repubs are a party for corps (note this is a whitehouse title, not the media):

Weekly Address: The Republican Corporate Power Grab

oh...whats this...another one:

Weekly Address: No Corporate Takeover of Our Democracy
Posted by Jesse Lee on August 21, 2010 at 06:00 AM EDT
The President calls out Republicans for blocking campaign finance reforms that would address the Supreme Court decision opening the floodgates of corporate money into elections.

http://www.whitehouse.gov/blog/2010/08/21/weekly-address-no-corporate-takeover-our-democracy

its just laughable that you think those people are in the minority...you have the leader of the dem party frequently trying to paint the repubs as for wallstreet, for insurance companies, for banks, for corps....

but in onceler's distored mind, this rarely happens....get your head checked

lmao...i bailed? funny...how is that when i gave more examples? when i called your bullshit about twisting my words?

like i said, you've entered your usual dishoenst mode because you can't defend your ridiculous claims

The links you're providing are "tff", Yurt. Again, you have a hard time separating concepts.

The OP - your OP, btw - talks about him "cozying up" to corporations, and attending a fundraiser. If you "get it" that his words are about policy, as you say you do...then what are you trying to say w/ the OP again?

Like I said - dopey, to the extreme. Keep finding those links about advocating policy, though.

LOL

i have no idea why this is so difficult for onceler...the thread has a simple premise, but obviously its over onceler's head or he is just trying to dishonestly twist what i'm saying....

1. "they are talking about policies" - yes onceler, of course they are, why you have to keep repeating this as if it shows i'm wrong and you're wrong is beyond me....its like your just dumb

2. the thread title, i thought, was clear....dems love to bash republicans for cozying up to the corp interests, banks, wallstreet etc....but, when the dems do the same its not bad, its good

so...why onceler has gone on tangents about policies etc is just bizarre
