This is why you don't prematurely spike the football: Iran reverses course on opening the Strait of Hormuz

Why is there no way to militarily prohibit Iran from inhibiting passage on international waters?
What is the specific Iranian military capability that's allowing them to control the strait,
and which the United States cannot eradicate?

To me, it looks like an outright military defeat on our part.
To me, it looks like they flat out beat us.

@Cypress noted that Iran can take a body blow.
It looks to me that they can take everything that we're able to throw.
Pigshit has managed to lose a war to a backwater country
while having control of the most expensive military (by far) on the face of the globe.

They are terrorist experts to answer your second question first. They're effectively inside a mountain fortress. Sure, Trump could commit a massive war crime by getting his desire to launch nuclear weapons at Tehran and major port cities, but that won't stop drone attacks shot randomly into the Strait. As you should know, fucking insurance companies don't like paying out. They'd prefer to keep taking the insurance payments and deny paying out losses "in a war zone".
The answer to your first question has the same solution to the US militarily prohibiting both Germany and Japan from their inhibitions in the middle of the last century.

The problem isn't that they "beat us". The problem is that for us to win requires nuking and/or invasion. It's a draw. A draw both Caine and Tulsi had no doubt advised him. Trump, being Trump, thought he was the smartest man in the room thought it'd be as easy as Venezuela. After all, he's the greatest! Just ask him and his fans. LOL

They need to take the microphone away from DonOld. He keeps screwing things up.

Even that won't do it, and you are a moron for even suggesting it.
Fat Boy proves he's an idiot every day. He thinks the size of his bank account equals superiority in all things including intelligence and education.

Stone's white nationalist party is now attacking the intellectuals as Clarence Thomas recently ranted about. Their entire movement is negative, making it evil in my opinion. as they prove with their claims of hating "the Left" more than they love "the Right". The owner of this forum said the same thing. He's not "Trumper" but hates "leftists". He considers me, a retired military, pro-Constitution, pro-gun, pro-States Rights advocate to be a "leftist" because....wait for it....I think Trump is a moron.

MAGAts are evil and anti-American. They seek to violently divide our nation, overthrow our Republic and install a White Nationalist autocracy. This is proved by the Project 2025 Agenda, Trump's cabinet and JPP posters like Stone, Terry and Damo.

He said that the values enshrined in the 1776 Declaration of Independence have “fallen out of favor” among Americans -- a trend perpetrated, he argued, by “intellectuals” and the nation’s colleges and universities.

Where we are now is thus apparently where we will stay.
The strait is no longer international waters.
Thanks to Pigshit, it's controlled by Iran.

With the recharging of personal electric vehicles impractical for long range trips.
Americans will have to step up on public transportation like the rest of the world has done all along.

Billions wasted, Americans killed, thousands of Iranians dead and still no Epstein Files. Life is strange.

Public transportation is common in cities. Kinda hard to run a bus past every farm house in a rural area. Electric vehicles will improve. So will renewable energy sources....even if it's no longer the United States leading the way because Trump is owned by the oil and coal industry.

No one person can stop human progress, either socially or technologically.

America always could have but Trump was desperate for out and not to escalate any more.

Iran has shown zero fear of taking actions that will escalate giving Trump the middle finger each time while putting him under the gun to act or TACO.
They've studied Trump a lot hard than Trump has studied them. Trump makes a common mistake of assuming too much. His hubris is a handicap.

The Strait is so narrow and deep in Iran territory that any one with a shoulder launched missile or a drone or who places a mine can easily threaten a slow moving cargo ship.

Even battle ships have a lot to fear in such situations as Ukraine taught Russia when they damaged or sunk two of their war ships with drones that came to far in to enemy territory.

Russia then staged all war ships further out where they then have time to do defensive measures when necessary.

I'm a draftee,
pro-central government,
don't believe in personal freedom from social responsibility,
Constitution critic,
believe that our right to bear arms shouldn't include assault rifles,
non-understander of Independents,
and suspect that partition really should be in our future,
but the gentleman to whom you alluded
has us characterized as being very much the same
because we both KNOW that Pigshit is a moron.

I don't get it either.

Sounds grim to me.

Right. These radical Iranians smell blood in the water. You don't blurt out "THANK YOU!!!❤️" to the radical Iranian mullahs for opening the Strait. It's international waters and they have no right or authority to decide whether to restrict navigation.
Trump really is a delusional buffoon which makes everyone who supports him look likewise.
