I have heard that excuse about taxes causing blue state gas prices more but our total tax (It's displayed on the pump) is 56 cents. Assuming these other states have some sort of tax lets say 30 cents the 25 cent higher tax does not explain the 2 dollar a gallon more. There is something else going on here.

Besides taxes, environmental regulations, supply disruption, and distance from refineries can also play a role in pricing.

Ahhhh, nice. I don't get up there much, but it's a nice area not too far north of Lake Winnebago. High Cliff State Park (along the northeast end of that lake) is just south of Kaukauna and that's one of our most popular state parks.
