Even as President Donald Trump’s approval rating has slipped, recent polls show that many Americans still view him more favorably than the Democratic Party.

Newsweek reached out to the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and Republican National Committee (RNC) for comment via email.

Recent polls show most Americans view Trump, the Democratic Party and the Republican Party all unfavorably. But the recent polling averages at RealClearPolitics deliver a warning sign for Democrats about their favorability.

Democrats’ net favorability rating stood at -20.4 points on Tuesday, with an average of 55.7 percent of Americans viewing the party unfavorably; compared to an average of 35.3 percent of Americans viewing the party favorably.

But Trump’s approval rating stood at -15.5 points, with an average of 56.6 percent disapproving of his job performance and 41.1 percent approving of the president.

Republicans control 28 state legislatures fully, while Democrats hold full control of 18. Power-sharing coalitions exist in Alaska, and the Minnesota House is split.

Democrats are kicking ass in local elections, so so much for the hate and low approval ratings....LOL. Listen, Democrats are a hot mess, but they don't have any political power to do much of anything, so for the general public to be hatin on them, like make it make sense. Fact of the matter is this, you got everybody that voted Trump out here stressing and like everybody in this country, they're stuck on stupid not fully realizing how this lack of numbers in both houses work for Democrats...these sorry ass fucks, don't know shit about politics, all they know is Trump is a nightmare and Democrats should be doing more...of which they can't.
