If God were real, you wouldn’t need a book

he said he was the son of god.
Whoever wrote the gospels said that he said he was the son of God.

Claiming to be the son of a god was very common at the time.
thats a Christian belief.
It's not a coincidence that only John said Jesus was divine, aka literally God and literally some kind of magical (divine) being. The books of Matthew, Mark and luke didn't, They just refer to him as the son of God because, again, that was very common.

Incorrect.

The belief that Jesus was God in human form goes back to the very earliest Christian writings, even before the gospels. Paul is writing his epistles only 20 years after the crucifixion, and at least two decades before the gospels of Luke and Matthew are written.

Epistle to the Philippians

(Jesus) Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
by becoming obedient to death—

Paul never even met Jesus. Why should anyone believe anything he said?

Because he knew the eyewitnesses Peter, John, and James the disciples/brother of Jesus who told him what they knew.

You made it a point to bring up Luke, who also never met Jesus, but only wrote what the eyewitnesses told him.

More importantly, you claimed that nobody ever wrote that Jesus was God in human form until Gospel of John, which is clearly an incorrect statement. Paul's epistles demonstrate that there was a belief in the very earliest Christian movement that Jesus was God who entered history in human form

What is the verse you're referring to?

The evidence from Paul's writing is that the belief Jesus was God in human form was widespread in the earliest Christian community, long before the gospels were written. So it is not a later legend that only appeared 70 years later.
Since Paul intimately knew Peter, James, and John, he had access to what the eyewitness disciples knew and were teaching from the earliest days.

even death on a cross!
