Iran outright rejects Trump’s offer of peace talks, denies Trump’s claim that they ever sought a cease-fire.

One thing is certain, we best keep our bad asses out of Iran, them ppl got a zillion pissed off Muslims ready to kick US ass all over them thar mountains.

“Had to happen” is debatable, even those in Trump’s cabinet admitted Iran presented no serious threat, and as for the “something worse,” we were told last year Iran’s nuclear program was “obliterated,” so the two assertions don’t match

And truth be told, I didn’t think it was necessary, but since it did, I’d support finishing it if there was a targeted end goal, and not with the incompetent leadership conducting the war now

I listen to briefings and updates every morning.... I'm comfortable With the leadership.... There are a number of objectives as you probably know.... The end goal is a safer United States and a safer world.... And there's only one way to do that.... Being that brutal regime to an end... Long overdue

Finish it, in what respect? Announcing we are walking away and wish to resume peace talks? We no longer have a say when this will end. Iran has stated they aren’t done.

“Finish it” by providing an exit strategy, telling us what we are hoping to attain, something that will measure success, even if it is building a strong position at peace talks, and not moving goalposts daily

Sadly it will have to be the next Dem POTUS who will get us of this war, if it ever happens.

And that is the only time you see these magats rage as they judge the withdrawal, while ignoring who started the war and all the deaths in fighting the useless war.

NeoCons like @Libhater find reason to support each and every neocon middle east quagmire and use the EXACT SAME language to justify each one. What the NeoCon Industrial War complex cares about is just keeping the conflict going.

The end of the Cold War really hurt profits for decades and they have tried and tried to recreate that forever war in the form of the "War on Terror' knowing that is a war that can never be won with arms, in the same way the War On Drugs cannot be won with incarcerations. But is sure is profitable for the War Complex and the Prison Complex, if they can make governments try to win them that way.

Yup as Congress calls in Trump top admin people and asks that very specific question none of them can give a clear answer other than vague 'make us safe' type replies.

This is the first 'war' the US has entered into like this where there was no case made to Congress or the American people where it was not laid out what the issue was and what the goals of the action would be and what success would look like.

Trump himself defines this 'war' as ending based on his 'VIBES' only and nothing else determining. Not objectives. Not goals. Only his 'VIBES' matter and when his 'VIBES' tell him it is over it, that is when it will end.

" Dismantling military capabilities ....securing the strait of hormuz ....eliminating nuclear ambitions ....targeting the IRGC.... addressing internal security ....Degrading nuclear programs.... preventing Iran from attaining any nuclear weapons.... neutralizing Iranian threat vectors.... destroying naval vessels and critical infrastructure" ETCETCETCETC... Why would anyone other than the military or those in relevant positions listen to briefings and updates, and Trump doesn’t even read them. Where are you getting these daily updates and briefings, and please, don’t tell us from the WH or media outlets

And if those are the objectives, although I’d argue those are target generalizations not objectives, then this Administration is failing miserably because now of them have been achieved even with military superiority

Because we're interested in what's going on... They're very informative.. MAR broadcast on Fox... Is that a problem?..... I'll disagree that "now" of them have been achieved... There's been tremendous success....
