How manipulative is CNN fake news?? Here's an example...

Facts not shown to be in evidence since WTI crude was at $94.71 at 4pm ET.

You are the one that is confusing things. Show us where in the article they were talking about WTI crude and not Brent crude or any other crude? (Only Brent crude is mentioned.) Your delusions are not facts. And your delusions do not mean I am confused. In fact your argument shows that you are guilty of what you are accusing CNN of doing. You are manipulating the data to only point to what you think was the low point during the day and ignoring all the other price points.

Go learn what 'fact' means, Poorboy. 'Fact' does NOT mean 'Universal Truth' or 'proof'.
Fallacy fallacy. No cherry picking occurred by gfm, Poorboy.

Yes, the price drop has been entered into evidence and the jury has seen it.
Brent briefly traded above $102–$104 and WTI briefly traded around $98–$101, which were intraday highs, not closing prices.

Date Close (USD)
2026‑03‑10 83.45
2026‑03‑09 94.77
2026‑03‑06 90.90
2026‑03‑05 81.01
That's some interesting numbers. You provided the close for the days and then made up the highs. Do you have link showing Brent and WTI never breached $104 on 2026-9?

Because according to the numbers I have found online, you claim is as delusional as gfm is.

You can't read a chart, apparently. Monday March 9th 2026, 3:30PM ET. $86
You are the one that is confusing things.
Stop blaming me for your own issues.

In post #10, I said that I was personally referencing WTI numbers and that the CNN article was instead referencing Brent numbers. I thought I had made it clear that the CNN article references Brent (which is international) and that I instead reference WTI (because it is domestic).

You mean when it is over $95 at 3pm?
Stop blaming me for your own issues.

Wow. You admit that you are lying about what CNN did with the numbers? As a good cult member you seem to be unable to understand you just destroyed your own bullshit.

3pm ET is not 3:30pm ET.
Brent crude is not WTI crude.
This is some pretty simple stuff. You admitted you know that CNN was using Brent crude prices but argue that they are being manipulative because they didn't use the price for WTI crude at 3:30pm. It is you that is trying to manipulate facts here. It is you that is lying about what occurred.

There is little question that you are in a cult because you are willing to lie to protect your cult leader.
I've put the data right in front of your face, Richard.
You put your lies right in front of everyone's face. Then you are so deep in your cult you can't even see that you are posting nothing but lies.
WTI crude is not Brent crude.

@Poor Richard Saunders
March 9th, 2026:
WTI Crude: @12:45AM ET -- $116/barrel @3:30PM ET -- $86/barrel
Brent Crude: @12:45AM ET -- $117/barrel @3:30PM ET -- $89/barrel

A 25% decrease from the "high number" is NOT "decreased somewhat".

3:30PM ET is a WHOLE HOUR before the article was published, which is plenty of time to see the latest data and report that the price of oil had come down 25% from its peak during the wee hours of the morning, regardless of whether you're referencing the Brent price or the WTI price.

CNN is purposely manipulative fake news.

Brent crude is not WTI crude.
Are you finally catching on to that truth?
This is some pretty simple stuff.
Indeed it is, yet you seem incapable of understanding it.
You admitted you know that CNN was using Brent crude prices
Correct. I'm fully aware of CNN using Brent crude prices. My personal preference is WTI crude prices. I've been nothing but painfully clear about this.
but argue that they are being manipulative because they didn't use the price for WTI crude at 3:30pm.
WRONG again. Your continuous bogus position assignments don't work with me.

The manipulation from CNN has nothing to do with using Brent crude rates vs WTI crude rates, but rather that they referenced a specific 'high' number (almost $120/barrel for Brent) without likewise referencing a specific 'low' number later on in the day (below $90/barrel for Brent). Instead, they used the words "dropped somewhat". That implies that the price of oil is still near $120/barrel (instead of informing their readers that the price of oil had now dropped 25% from the $120/barrel rate that they quoted earlier).

It's a type of 'lie by omission' that's meant to manipulate the minds of people who don't know any better.
It is you that is trying to manipulate facts here. It is you that is lying about what occurred.

Brent crude is not WTI crude.
Cruide is crude, Poorboy. The only difference is whether it is 'sweet' or 'sour' (has sulfur compounds in it). Processing sour crude is a simple preprocessing that is profitable, since sulfur is an industrial chemical that can be sold once extracted.

I don't give a shit about CNN.
There is little question that you are in a cult because you are willing to lie to protect your cult leader.
Go learn what 'cult' means. Buzzword fallacy. What 'lie'? Void argument fallacy.
You put your lies right in front of everyone's face.

Crude is crude, poorboy.

They didn't want people to know that the price of oil came back down as fast as it went up?

They instead wanted to falsely imprint into people's minds that oil was still much closer to $120/barrel rather than falling right back down to $85/barrel again?

Like I said, MANIPULATIVE language.
@IBDaMann
@Into the Night
@Tobytone
@Uncensored2008

As you can see, I REALLY got under Richard's skin here... In addition to his complete evasion of how CNN manipulates their dwindling readers, I effectively reduced him to chanting the word 'cult' over and over...

Poor Richard.......

look at legion jacking himself off.

disgusting.

trump was the only president stupid enough since Bush II to be talked into another Mideast boondoggle. Trump has destroyed the world order and made us all unsafe. You're quibbling about how badly he fucked us. I'm sorry but we're not a fool like you!
