Both Obama and Biden both played cotton candy politics with Republicans and at every turn got their ass'es handed to them by voters in mid term elections. Gavin and Crocket tried the mean approach and they got their ass'es handed to them...they failed to realize their houses weren't as stable as they thought. Under Obama the ACA passed which provided healthcare to millions of Americans. Republicans are still not over it - NOT because it's bad for Americans, but because it gave the Dems a political win.
Biden had a more difficult time because by his term, congress had become totally "trumpified", blocking everything Democrats tried to do.
Are Dems perfect? Fuck no. But now we know how much worse Republicans are.
