There are limits to the power the people can give to the government, and the Constitution outlines those limits.

you still have yet to give one legitimate reason for any state to deny homosexual marriage....

ok...so we have you objecting to it on two grounds...

1. moral - too bad so sad, many couples in engage in what some consider immoral activities, swinging, blowjobs, anal sex, and multiple marriages/divorces - so this one fails to pass even rational standard, let alone strict scrutiny

2. judgment - does britney spears type marriage benefit society? does a marriage of convenience benefit society? does allowing someone to married and divorced 7 or more times benefit society? - and lastly....it does not harm society anymore than any other type of marriage....

you will support all those types of marriages i listed, and yet you won't support gay marriage because you don't like it....unfortunate for you, our 3rd branch of government says you're wrong

Homos can marry all they want....the government doesn't not HAVE TO condone or recognize these marriages....the government, as of now, does recognize marriage between one and only one man, to one, and only one women.....homos do not have a right to special tax status because they are homos....whites do not have a right to special tax status becsuse they are white....the same for blacks, etc.....

Marriage has an age old definition and THAT is what has been recognized as having a special tax status... the union of one man to one women....the logic being that this union will produce children and forms a traditional family .

Six men and one women, or a women and her beagle, or a man and his pet monkey, can call themselves a family or an army or any name they desire...that doesn't mean the rest of society MUST recognize their conduct or claims as anything more than the insanity it seems.
