The history of Republicans starting forever, wars, continues.

War is a last resort - always. At least, that's how it should be.

A last resort to protect the homeland. Those are the criteria.

Once again, an admin has failed to meet those criteria. And once again, opponents of the war are getting lectured about "patriotism."
Didn't President Trump first try negotiating with Iran for many months before taking this action?
He gave them every which way out of this fate, but they refused to cooperate.

I realize that a lot of people have "Bush Jr PTSD", but Donald Trump is not George Bush Jr nor does he think/operate like Bush Jr. RELAX.

The Iran bombing last year was a quick operation and then done.
The Maduro capture was a quick operation and then done.
This will likewise be a quick operation and then done.

Trump doesn't do "forever wars".
You think he can accomplish his stated goal of regime change? More likely he will get bored and walk away from this.

I posted this in another thread - same point belongs here:

this did not start with Republicans and it did not stop with Democrats.

LBJ used Tonkin to blow open Vietnam.
Clinton bombed Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq, Sudan, and Afghanistan.
Obama bombed Libya and expanded military action across Iraq, Syria, Yemen, and beyond.

This is not a one-party problem. It is a bipartisan American habit: presidents keep using force without real declarations of war, and each side suddenly rediscovers constitutional limits only when the other party is in charge.

The military-industrial complex is real.
So is the political hypocrisy that protects it.

You think he can accomplish his stated goal of regime change?
Who says that he is going to play any active part in "regime change"? Remember, Donald Trump is NOT George W. Bush Jr... Donald Trump has urged Iranians to retake control of their government. It's now up to THEM if they seize the day or whether they let the day pass them by.
More likely he will get bored and walk away from this.
More likely this military operation will wind down very quickly and be done before you know it (just like all the past ones under Trump have done).

He said it was the goal, you think hes going to accomplish his goal?

Bar tender would be crying if Iran shot ICBMs with nukes at the USA. Trump is trying to prevent that from ever happening.

False equivalency. And that didn't happen, did it? Or anything like it.

I've been against all military action. It doesn't matter who the President is for me. We don't do this well - I'll be pleasantly surprised if this is a quick in & out that doesn't create chaos on the MIddle East.

George Bush Senior, George Bush Junior, now Donald Trump… All three of the last Republican presidents have started a war in the Middle East.

They gotta keep them going. The military industrial complex complex demands it. It took Biden to finally be at peace.
Has the democrat party ever started a forever war in the middle east?

Remember when your boy Obama launched military attacks against Libya? Were they an imminent threat on the United States? Oh, but you loved that.

But, but but but but..

Spare me your feigned false crocodile tears
