You are being bone headed. It said he was forced to invite them; he would not if he was not compelled. He suggested that there was a penalty of impeachment if he didn't. That means he would not if he were not forced to.
The whole point is, he did not gladly invite them. That was enough for the girls. They deserved the same respect as the men.

Good point. Another I would add is that Toxic is insisting that the women's team was invited first, but demurred due to "previous commitments" and not political reasons.
