The study also estimates Idaho residents would see a $2.9 billion reduction in wages and benefits, and state tax revenues could fall by about $397.8 million annually through declines in sales, property, and income taxes.”

On the other hand, the file you cited above from Congress addresses IMMIGRANTS both legal and illegal, conflating the two. This is a common tactic on the Left and by Democrats to water down the effects of ILLEGAL immigration. Legal immigrants are great. We can use that sort of fresh blood in society. Americans might well do those jobs too if they paid better and weren't filled by criminal aliens who are willing to work illegally for less. The Colt Grill restaurant chain in Arizona is a perfect example of that. They got busted for firing legal US workers in favor of hiring illegals they smuggled into the US that were being paid off the books far less. So, with that company Americans lost their jobs and illegals took them from legal US workers, as but one example.
