Judge blocks parts of Arizona immigration law

Your example shows the policemnan to be racist, but not the law itself.

I do not believe this law is racist. I believe its bullshit mainly because of it requiring US citizens to carry their "papers" to prove they are citizens.

It requires that someone prove they are innocent.
I reject that notion to. Not being a citizen should not be a crime. Should it mean that such an individual who does not have citizenship or legal residency status should be removed? Yes it shoud but criminalizing them would be a big mistake.

As for the law. A law doesn't have to explicitly identify and marginalize a racial minority to be racist, as I've demonstrated.

this would be constitutionally impossible. how is law enforcement supposed to remove/constrain the liberty and freedom of an individual unless a crime has been committed?

If I am pulled over and only have my New Mexico license I must provide a second form of ID under the Arizona law. This is because NM has decided it is better than everyone that drives has a license and can therefore get insurance. So illegal aliens can get a license and then get insurance. That means I have to use a second form of ID.

That is correct.

It is good that this law was enjoined.

No it does not but neither did many of the poll taxes or literacy tests in the south during the Jim Crow era, do you deny the racism implicit in those laws?

The racism of the poll taxes and literacy tests during Jim Crow days was in the point of the laws. They were expressly written and enforced to stop blacks from voting. The law in AZ was written to try and remove as many illegals as possible. The point of the law itself is not racist per se.

Entering the country illegally is a crime. Whether you want it to be or not, it is a criminal act.

It isn't?

How is it you are privy to the motivation of the authors and sponsors of SB 1070?

Psychic?

Psychic?

The written reason for the laws discussed above.

No, I am not psychic, nor do I need to be.

Using a person's ethnicity as "probable cause" without a corresponding eyewitness description of an alleged perpetrator is racial profiling.

Oh, so a hispanic citizen, walking across the WalMart parking lot gets questioned about the crime, and he should be ok with it?

So the fact that the illegal immigrants come from a hispanic nation has no bearing at all?
