So, on esoteric technicalities, Rittenhouse escaped charges. He got away with killing a couple of protestors. That made him a hero to the right. As long as protestors are killed, it is great.

When I go to a Dallas Mavericks game I leave my Glock carry weapon at home because it is illegal to carry it at a sporting event. (Even though I would really like to carry it in that part of town at night.)
