Federal troops kill a man because he carried a concealed gun.

Its stupid to point a gun at someone, being stupid can cause a lot of things. Its not the reason its legal to shoot someone.

Its stupid to carry a gun to a protest, Its not a legal reason to kill someone. Nobody should be punished for being stupid.
I am telling you directly. You stated that "being stupid" should "never get you shot"...

One example is all it took before you changed that blanket statement. You have got to be the worst attorney ever if your case falls apart with one example. I don't believe you are, and I think in court you would be far more careful before making such foolish blanket statements.

Like I said. I'm going to get a weapon and license to carry now. I don't like the revolvers. I'm going to get a pistol with a clip. I'll comply with all purchasing and screening rules in my state.

If ICE goes on a murdering spree in my town I will not be the last one to die.

Uh ohhhhh ... you've done it now ...

You called it a clip when polite gun etiquette calls for magazine.

I'm afraid you have just brought down upon yourself the wrath of the JPP MAGA gun goober contingent.

Be afraid.

Be very afraid....😬

Lemme tell it to ya in cracker talk:
Boy, you go on and mess with with the police carryin' a gun and you probly ain't gunn' live too much. :dunno:

Well, being at the front of a mob can get you shot like Ashli.
Leading a mob chanting killing our lawmakers while breaking into an area where our lawmakers are working, and men with guns are demanding you not do it, is VERY idiotic.

She did a dumb thing and got shot. That would not be an argument for permission to kill her.

Oh, "goody, I can't wait". A, "magazine". You know I want all my magazines to have dirty centerfolds!

Wrong. When you endanger others by being stupid, you should be punished.
Do you even know the definition of stupid?
Stupid is knowing better, then doing it anyway.
You should only be punished by the government after being found guilty of a crime by a Jury. That's the CONSTITUTION of the UNITED STATES.

It was stupid of Ashi Babbit to break into the United States Capital, then try to break through a window while armed agents with guns were telling her not to do it. Her stupidity was not the reason her being killed was legal.

Yes

That is their thinking

Even under that being the standard

They don’t seem to no who the wicked truely are

Those are words written by men

Some of those human writers my have misunderstood the message

Under their standard we are all flawed

If there is really just one god who controls all of existence

I chose to think that this God is far fairer than the fables written by mere men

What a concept huh

My belief is no writings like this matter

Because the real truths are in human hearts

The love we feel for others is an undeniable fact

It needs no scriptures to guide it to the truth

Those without that love who instead seek to harm others to meet their means and goals are the evil ones

No writings of human beings needed

It’s in your being already if you are capable of human compassion

And I am telling you it was not being stupid that gets the guy in your scenario shot. It was his actions, not his IQ.

Shooting someone because they are stupid is a bad thing.

There are different rules and debates that go on in a Courtroom. If I followed those rules, I would not be free to debate in the way we do here. Its one of the reasons I like this place. Its frustrating to operate under the Rules of Evidence and under the direction of a judge.

I have seen no video. I am in the "ask questions" stage of this. Later I'll watch all the video available, after I learn what people perceive from this. If they disarmed him first then fired will be part of what I am looking for, because someone says they saw that.
Then while you are in the ask stage

Start questioning the motivations of your government

It was cut to 47 days from six weeks by trump to coincide with his term number.

Such is the idiotic childishness of the current occupant of the Whore House.
Sociopaths always fuck up

They are physiologically incapable of understanding other humans

Brain crippled

Doomed to failure

That would be part of it too. What training have they gone through, were they taught de-escalation tactics? Do they understand the right to video in all public settings? So, yes, that would be one of the considerations.
They were obviously taught to bust heads

And time for you to walk all the way up to truth and look her in the face

Redeem your mind back from the cult

It will be a little painful at first

But then you will have the glory of truth at your side again and for life if you stay strong

That song is relevant again!

I love you bob

I love you Rene

I love you Alex
Would you have told them thst it was a good idea to be doing what they were doing? Would you suggest others follow in their footsteps? Alex's parents Tried to advise him.... He didn't listen...Renee's partner gave her advice she shouldn't have listened to... Wit

The best advice is stay home... Because nothing that those protesters are doing is making a difference.... They haven't helped a thing...

You're describing the Ashli Babbitt shooting, right?

Is that what you're describing?

Sounds just like the Ashli Babbitt situation.
Then you are a politically biased idiot. Byrd had choices. It wasn't a rushed decision on his part. The video shows he had the weapon out and pointed and hesitated to fire for several seconds. He could have made at least some attempt to enter the hallway and confront Babbitt. He chose to remain hidden to her in an office doorway.

There were two other officers in that hallway, further back. They chose not to fire.

There is little to compare between the two. Babbitt wasn't struggling with police officers. She wasn't actively resisting arrest. You just don't want to see those differences because they make the difference and all you have for a counter example is Jan 6.
Ashli Babbitt set herself up for failure by attempting to access a high security area within the US Capitol building while taking part in a violent mob action.

No, she had the bad luck to be engaged by an incompetent police officer. And yes, Byrd was incompetent. His service record proves it.
Ashli Babbitt shouldn't have been where she was and she shouldn't have tried to illegally enter a high security area.

That much is true.
Same with Babbitt.

We agree on that.
He didn't do any of that.

Yes, he did. He walked towards their vehicle. They got out. There was an interaction where they were telling him something. By subsequent events, they were clearly going to arrest Pretti. He knew it too by his response.
The video clearly shows them approach him. After the fat ICE pansy shoved a woman into her face, he tried to help her get up which was when the rest of the fat slob ICE thugs liked in too of him.

Your first sentence contradicts your previous statement "He didn't do any of that." What his intentions were isn't particularly relevant once the ICE officers went to arrest him.
Get your shit straight before you chime in.
Right back at ya!

Yes

They got up

They stood up

We won’t give up their fight

When you get a permit you go through classes on how to interact with police, where you cannot carry, where you can, etc.

However, that is neither here nor there. If he was not cooperating they would not know he had a permit, he wasn't acting in a way that someone that took those classes would have acted if he was fighting the police rather than answering their queries.

Now what courts will look at is "what would a reasonable officer perceive in the position of the man who fired"... So, did he start the interaction or did he come upon it? Did someone in the struggle shout something like "He has a gun?" At any moment could he have seen a hand going towards the gun and perceive a threat?

These are the things they would be looking at, not "Do the cops think the citizen should be trained"... That never comes into the equation.
There was a large group of officers attempting to subdue an assailant. 99% of the time, they want that individual flat on the ground which was difficult because of the curb. Someone saw and shouted the word 'gun', which is a major trigger word for all LEO's.
At least one agent drew his weapon the second that word was spoken. From that point, the SHTF, and shots started flying, which, in all my training, is a negative if there are a lot of other officers or pedestrians very close. Nine or more rounds fired seemed excessive to me.
Lord knows there is little or no de-escalation training, which would have gone a long way in most of these cases.

This all comes back to people inserting themselves into situations that could have a negative outcome.

Renee Good was a brainwashed moron. This guy wasn't thinking, and neither were the agents in that pigpile of humanity.
