True, carrying a firearm in public isn't a crime, but when you involve yourself with law enforcement and are carrying one you exponentially increase the chances that something will go wrong with that encounter in a very bad way for you.

If in fact Pretti did attempt to draw his weapon, that is sufficient cause for the ICE officers to shoot him. No, they're not going to try and wrestle the gun from his hand. No, they aren't going to wait until he has it out and pointed at them. The second he touches that pistol is the second he ends up shot multiple times. He was already resisting arrest. Touching that pistol was a certain death sentence.

2. Did Pretti move towards the ICE officers and their vehicle?

3. Did those ICE officers then attempt to detain and / or arrest Pretti?

4. Did Pretti resist arrest and struggle with the officers?

5. Did Pretti attempt to draw his firearm or move his hand in a way that could be seen as an attempt to draw his firearm?
