That is exactly why McCarthy and McConnell verbalized support for Trump after they first pointed out that the Jan6th riots were criminal and Trump could be held accountable for them.

They did truly want Trump gone, and they hoped the new Dem AG would prosecute him and rid the party of him, but they never imagined a person as weak as Merrick Garland in the position as they just imagined what Bill Barr would have done to Obama or Biden in that spot.

What they wanted was for the Dem's to take Trump down while they screamed how unfair it was and as they 'fought for Trump', as the Trump base would never accept anyone who sides with him being out. So the leadership had to play along and fight the Dems while hoping the Dems succeeded.

First this is all based on a "report" by a leftist propaganda outlet with no actual evidence that hegseth gave a second order. So the call for an investigation is based on a questionable assertion made my a biased news source. You have no fucking clue what was ordered and the thing is you fuckers don't give a shit what orders were given you just want to bark.

"Looks" like he did. My doubt is irrelevant. He either did it or he didn't. You have no absolute proof he did.

My position is quite simple asshole when you find he actually did it bring him up on charges and give him whatever punishment is for that crime.
