Voters approve gerrymandering the f*ck out of California in favor of Democrats

‘Extreme’ gerrymander: Utah judge rejects GOP lawmakers’ congressional map, picks districts favoring Democrats

(Francisco Kjolseth | The Salt Lake Tribune) Third District Judge Dianna Gibson holds a hearing on Utah’s congressional district maps in Salt Lake City on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2025.

Utah will get one or two of Utah's four congress critters, which will cut the GOP by one or two seats.

Third District Judge Dianna Gibson rejected new congressional boundaries proposed by Republican legislators late Monday night, instead choosing a map that will create a heavily Democratic-leaning district in Salt Lake County and shake up Utah’s political landscape.

“In short, [the Legislature’s map] does not comply with Utah law,” Gibson wrote in her ruling. “Because the Lieutenant Governor’s November 10, 2025, deadline for a map to be finalized is upon us, the Court bears the unwelcome obligation to ensure that a lawful map is in place, which the Court discharges by adopting” a map submitted by the plaintiffs in the yearslong lawsuit.

The map Gibson selected makes a district of the northern portion of Salt Lake County, and splits Utah County into eastern and western districts, ultimately creating a district that truly favors Democrats for the first time in a quarter century.

So, an unelected judge gets to draw the maps for voting districts in Utah, hum? How fascist.

The founders planned it that way
No, they didn't. The courts were supposed to be only advisory to other branches of government and not capable of making up law or usurping the powers of a legislature or the executive branch like this judge in Utah is doing.

States have the right to decide how to place their judges

So? What's that got to do with how judges act and rule from the bench? This judge just usurped the power to set congressional districts and decided on her own what they should be. That's judicial dictatorship. The judge is, to use the popular term on the Left, a fascist.

WTF has that got to do with anything? We're discussing how judges are usurping power from the other branches of government using judicial fiat and how they are acting like dictators, not how they got selected and put on the bench.

This was a reaction to Trump demanding red states should gerrymander to help him get more Reds in office. Changing districts between censuses is never done.
Yes it is.
Now it is.
Always was.
Trump breaks any laws, rules, and regulations if he sees an advantage for himself.
What law, rule, or regulation has Trump violated?
The Dems cannot watch Trump cheat and ignore it.
You can't blame Democrat election fraud on Trump, Sybil!
They have to counter with the same nasty tactics.
It isn't conservatives that are rioting, looting, supporting organized crime, or harboring illegal aliens, Sybil. It's DEMOCRATS.

.....and Democrats will have even less in Red states. But I am glad to see leftist halfwits celebrating gerrymandering. We no longer have to see their hand wringing about it when red states follow suit.
Of course, remember is rules for thee, not for me, when it comes to the Democrats! They'll gripe at anything. It's all they have.

Nobody has redistricted between censuses before Trump.
Yes they have, Sybil.
It was not done.
It was done.
However, Trump has no right and wrong compass. He does what he wants and defies you to stop him. He calls that winning.
Trump IS winning. He was elected President again. He is enforcing the law. He is deporting illegal aliens. He ended the economic depression started by the Democrats six years ago.
He sees the midterms as close, so of course, he went straight to cheating.
You can't blame Democrat election fraud on Trump, Sybil!
The Dems usually stay within the confines of law and propriety.
BULLSHIT!

DEMOCRATS committed treason by inviting invasion of the United States.
DEMOCRATS committed treason by supplying the enemy in time of war.
DEMOCRATS committed treason by espionage.
DEMOCRATS committed treason by calling for civil against citizens of the United States AND prosecuting such war.
DEMOCRATS harbor illegal aliens in violation of CFR Title 8.
DEMOCRATS commit lawfare, attempting to discard Articles I, II, and III of the Constitution of the United States.
DEMOCRATS try to ban or limit guns, discarding Article I, and the 2nd, 4th, 9th, 10th, and 14th, amendments.
DEMOCRATS conducted censorship at the federal level, discarding the 1st amendment.
DEMOCRATS are rioting, looting, supporting organized crime, and insurrection.
DEMOCRATS commit election fraud, and have for decades.
DEMOCRATS commit murder and assassinations.

Like Michelle said"when they go low, we go high". That is not how elections are fought since Trump. He will cheat and laugh in your face.
YOU CAN'T BLAME DEMOCRAT ELECTION FRAUD ON TRUMP!
The only states that have tried to put redistricting on fair and level ground are blue states. We had a ballot referendum in Michigan forcing them to be done more fairly. The Repubs fought against the referendum, and after it was passed, they fought the fairer redistricting.
Inversion fallacy.
