Fire and rescue service is a government service. Not socialism.
Police and law enforcement is a government service. Not socialism.
PUDS and city utilities coordinate billing for their region of government. The energy comes from many sources.

They produce services, not make profits. I have had yo yos think think they should be privatized.

Energy production and distribution is largely private (except disastrous government projects like solar and wind farms).
One notable exception is hydroelectric power, which a secondary effect from reclamation.
