Why do we allow private insurance companies to decide how health care is accessible?

We pay more for medical care than any nation in the world.

And we don't get our money's worth, IMO. There's no doubt in my mind that the rising cost of medical treatment has been influenced by insurance companies and government programs that raise overheads with administrative expenses.

Because the healthcare system is deeply broken....a complete disaster....and the limited attempts to fix it have been complete failures.

Can I help you with anything else today?

I am here to help!

They are parasites and should be illegal.
Because insurance companies have armies of lobbyists who wine and dine politicians on both sides so that they can gouge Americans as best as possible. Obamacare could have been done much more cheaply - the insurance lobby just wouldn't and won't allow it!

The solution - get money out of politics - and good luck with that - too many pigs at the trough would lose their easy money.

And stop electing conservative Democrats like Obama!
