Trump cuts off food aid while building a gaudy royal gold-gilded ballroom

Congress authorized a contingency fund set aside to fund SNAP, and Trump is refusing to tap the contingency fund.

It's highly inappropriate to build gaudy golden Royal dancing halls, and then not release the contingency funds for federal food aid.
There is no 'contingency fund', Cyborg. Your conspiracy theory won't work.

Do you understand how donations work for the wealthy? They get something for the donation. The financial gains are always substantial. The access, the regulation and tax breaks, and the rewarding contracts make them richer.
The ballroom is gaudy and obscene-looking if it ends up like the drawings shown so far. Trump likes glitz, lots of glitz.
More conspiracy theory shit.

The donations are for the ballroom.

Trump won't release the contingency funds previously authorized by Congress to keep SNAP going.

That's not the point.

It is extremely bad optics to build a 94,000 square foot, gaudy gold-gilded Royal dancing hall during a time of anemic job growth and food aid being cut off.
it is the point.

you keep linking two issues that are not linked.

apparently you think its a smart thing to do.

but it's very dumb.

It is an emergency fund for natural disaster relief, and is not even close to enough to fund SNZP for even a month.

Makeup some more bullshit.
2 weeks is 2 weeks.

This IS a fucking disaster, cultist. And judges are ruling just that. Trump has stolen appropriated funds before. This isn’t even doing that.

They're linked now. He linked them. Others have linked them. Stretch your mind as far as it will stretch and you might discern the link. It is a species of link with famous precedent. Think of Dickens, the French Revolution. I bet you can do it.

they're only linked in your delusional mind.

:truestory:

you're bad at PR and thinking.

You prefer tents and port-o-pottys for dignitaries' visiting or nation?

Forgetting that it is PRIVATELY FUNDED as well ?

@Cypress wants it to be paid for by taxpayers and have Obama's name on it. The drones are swarming because it is Trump - no other reason. I'd tell him that Trump uses toilet paper after he shits - but then it would be impossible to be in the same room with him, or any drone of the hive.

I would have liked for this all to be explained and my opinion asked when it might have mattered.

Really? Why? You're not paying for it and while your Emperor may be there at some point - a lowly CCP spy like you never will.

BTW - your neighbor bought a new TV - did they ask your permission first?

Widespread Support for National Standards: A May 2025 national survey found that 57% of voters support a single national standard for what can be purchased with SNAP benefits, versus 39% who prefer state-by-state rules. This support spans Democrats, Independents, and Republicans, each favoring national consistency by double-digit margins.

It will hurt Red States. Impact Felt Most in Red States: Although the shutdown is national, 25 of the 30 states that Trump won in 2024 rely on SNAP more than the national average. For example, Louisiana has 18% of its population on SNAP, compared to the 12% national average. time.com/7329733/snap-benefits-food-stamps-shutdown/

Democratic Messaging Under Strain: Democrats have tried to frame the expiration of pandemic-era subsidies as a Republican failure, but some commentators argue this has backfired, drawing attention to the perceived flaws of the Affordable Care Act itself. ca.news.yahoo.com/democrats-look-ready-cave-shutdown-080344625.html

Voter Frustration Rising: As open enrollment begins with double-digit premium hikes, many Americans are facing tough choices about whether they can afford coverage. This is especially true for those who benefited from enhanced subsidies that are now lapsing. time.com/7329733/snap-benefits-food-stamps-shutdown/

Wow, you sure lie a lot.

Obviously the number of people who have SNAP is highest in California. Followed by New York, Texas, and Florida.

California has more people on SNAP than Texas, and Florida combined.

We get it Jake - you lie because you're a pathological liar - as pretty much all leftists are.
