Its pretty simple. Let's use an easy example......single mother with 3 kids.

Add it all up. Not a bad income at all for laying on your dead ass all day. Only one little problem that a lot of those single mothers don't think about. The clock doesn't stop for anybody. Flash forward,.....now all three kids are grown and no longer dependents. Now instead of being 23 and halfway decent looking you are 40 and washed up looks wise from laying on your ass the last 20 years. Instead of weighing 120 you now weigh 230,....and as the hag you have become nobody wants you anymore. You no longer qualify for much of anything because your free ride meal tickets are gone. Whatcha gonna do now? :thinking: :cool: Call it sweet JUSTICE,.....you are SCREWED.

Should funding run out at the end of the month, “we will have the greatest hunger catastrophe in America since the Great Depression, and I don’t say that as hyperbole”, said Joel Berg, CEO of Hunger Free America.

Snap supports working families with low-paying jobs, low-income people aged 60 years and older and people with disabilities living on a fixed income, according to the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities.

Snap participants generally must be at or below 130% of the federal poverty line. The average participant receives about $187 a month, the center reports.

It's an exciting time.... People's lives are going to change for the better.... it's hard to imagine that there are people who have never , ever worked at all in their lives... And now they have a chance To become a productive part of society.

In this little deli gig I have, I see quite a few EBT people during the day. Easy to spot. They generally start coming in early, 6-7AM, because that’s when the shelters kick them out for the day. Generally have their backpacks or those small pull carts. They usually get the cheapest cuts of meat they can and not much in quantity. Sometimes I get irritated because deli meat is spendier and shitty healthwise. But, then again, they often have no way to prepare food.

I don’t keep exact count, but I would say the majority are middle aged women. My guess is the majority of those are a victims of physical and emotional abuse. No doubt, a lot of substance abuse, as well.

I can tell you though, they sure as shit aren’t getting their hair and nails done.
