They've been hot lately. Brewers beat them all six times they faced them in the regular season, but that was during a stretch that the Dodgers were in a slump (and the Brewers were hot), so the Brewers got lucky on the timing of those matchups.
The Dodgers paid big bucks to buy themselves a team; the Brewers can't compete money-wise; they have to depend on developing young talent instead (which eventually go to other teams for the big bucks).
The Brewers could actually compete if they'd just get out of the batting slump that they've been in. It's like they've forgotten much of what made them so good during the regular season.
I was hoping that the Brewers would win at least one of the first two Milwaukee games, but now it's a rather tough ask for them to win 4 out of the next 5 against a team that's been as hot as LA has been lately...
Unfortunately, it's probably LA's world series to lose unless Toronto comes back against Seattle... then LA would probably still win, but not quite as easily...
