Could A Good God Permit So Much Suffering?

Perhaps you can address why your lover of creations allows millions to die of natural disasters. Nothing free will about those.

And, if there is free will, then your god is not omniscient. Can’t have both.
Impotent god or maniacal god.

Intelligent, rational and educated people realize that the unknown should not be feared. It should be embraced by those with faith. It's a major component in the entire "glass half full, glass half empty" philosophy.

IMO, it's pretty easy to see that all atheists, like @domer76 and his lil' buddy mini-domer, @gmark77 , glass half empty personalities. Religion is a problem to them, not a solution for others...in their negative POV.

They can't see it. They can't see past their own personality. They're stunted, immature people by all psychological measures.

You tried to compare the creator of the universe to a parent disciplining their child. That’s anthropomorphizing. A simpletons view and a simplistic comparison.

Unlike theists, especially Christians, I don’t fear the unknown. You unthinking people need to invent a mythical forever afterlife BECAUSE of your fear of death. Heaven and Hell are concepts driven by fear.

Atheists tend to have higher IQs and better analytical and critical thinking skills than believers. That’s because, rather than accepting the indoctrination that Christians have experienced since birth, they actually EXAMINE the reality of the world and give some introspective thought to the matter. Yours is merely thoughtless acceptance.

Many Christians learn the religion as children. And remain children their entire lives.
Yep. That’s a fact for religions everywhere. Your religion is mostly determined by where you were born rather than any intellectual inquiry and choice.

In your opinion. Yeah, I get it. What I also get is your anger.

Ummmm...seems you do. Regardless, you and I can agree that no one knows what caused the origin of our universe or if there is anything outside of it. This line of talk angers you for some reason, which piques my curiosity.

No anger. Just amazement at your childish comparisons and your continued twisting of my texts.

Thus they think of god as Father, or Mother.
It never ceases to amaze me that these guys think the creator of the entire, unimaginably huge and complex universe has some sort of personal relationship with them. One out of 8 billion humans alive and multiple tens of billions previously. Not to mention all the other sentient creatures on this planet or every other planet.

The arrogance and self-centeredness is incredible.

Agree. Well said.

Add to that, the need for Christians to look for enemies.

And the classic, 'You cannot possibly have a rational disagreement. You must be very angry and emotional.'

Do you believe that intelligent, educated and rational people can see for themselves who is angry or not? Who is responding emotionally, with insults or anything else except being calm, cool and collected?

Who do you think excels in America: the calm, cool and collected or the emotional hot messes?

That description does not fit you, that’s for sure.

wrong.

you negative types hate the courage that faith and belief gives believers.
