Well, that isn't true at all. He had a massive spike and is quickly returning to normal. Disney lost a TON of cash in stock pricing and canceled subscriptions. Kimmel might be a "winner" in that his suspension is over and for a week he had some more viewers than normal, but none of that adds any talent and folks who weren't watching before will stop watching again because he isn't funny.
Anyway. I don't think Disney or ABC are going to "win" in this exchange. It's possible that lying about the dead even when you are trying to pretend you are making jokes is not a path to success.
