So the Smithsonian can’t show that slavery was bad?

An example of bad education.
All JPP MAGAts are an example of "bad education". Most are stupid and/or demented. None are worth a shit as a citizen, an American nor as a family member.

If each were to die in bed tonight, how many would be missed by their families and how many families would simply say, "Thank GOD!"?

Why is it that we can talk about how bad the holocaust was, but not how bad slavery was?
All Christians know slavery was very, very wrong. This is one way to tell that MAGAts aren't Christians.

There are two main reasons why MAGAts don't want to discuss slavery.

One has a certain amount of validity - reparations. Making all Euro-Americans pay for something that happened 6-7 generations ago is wrong. Especially if it's just handing out cash to anyone with an African-American ancestor. Since it benefits the United States to maximize the abilities of all citizens and legal residents, then putting more focus on educational and job opportunities for those in need, which covers a lot of African-American families, is good for America. Investing in libraries with online educational programs is a good start. Giving tax breaks to companies that are within easy travel distance of lower income communities is another excellent measure.

Second, and much more evil, is the MAGAt belief that both women and non-European males should be treated like second class citizens. This is why the MAGAts keep pushing "restore the Constitution" which is what Trump did with his $60 Bible - strip out the 11th to 27th Amendments thereby place Euro-American males on top of the financial and power pyramid.

For those two reasons, talking about slavery is banned inside MAGAt areas of control. This is why, in the next civil war, We, the People, need to do to MAGAts what the Israelis are doing to HAMAs.

In addition, Trump’s Bible is missing the Nineteenth Amendment, which grants women the right to vote; the Twenty-Second Amendment, which limits the president to two terms in power; and the Twenty-Sixth Amendment, which lowered the legal voting age from 21 to 18.

Altogether, Trump’s God Bless the U.S.A. Bible, as delivered to Oklahoma’s public schools, did not include Amendments 11 through 27. The text of the Bible itself appeared unchanged from the King James version.

Not all, but a lot of religious leaders are breaking from Trump after supporting him.

The difference between the political side of MAGA and the Evangelical side was clearly demonstrated by the Charlie Kirk memorial.

I know several here want to say they are both one and the same, but the divide between them is clearly visible and, bad for Trump, worsening as his evilness increases.

Since you are wrong, I will tutor you once again.

A White House official told NBC News Tuesday night that Trump plans to extend his review of museums beyond the Washington-based institution, saying he will start to “get the woke out of the Smithsonian” and then go from there.

The Smithsonian exaggerates the bad and ignores the good.
Earl and his friends know this because Trump told them. It comforts them having someone so often there to tell them what to think.

I didn't see or read about the funeral. Explain what you mean, please.
I watched over two hours of it. Erika spoke for about 25 minutes and the Dementia Don rambled for 43 minutes.

I have no doubt Charlie and Erika are true believers in God and Jesus whereas Trump only believes in material possessions and worshiping his bank account.

Still, the combination of Evangelical views of Christianity paired with White Nationalism AKA white supremacy, is producing a disturbing result.

MAGA is trying really, really hard to make Charlie a martyr to push their Project 2025 agenda. With Erika accepting being the COO of Turning Point USA and her statements about it, I'm not so sure she'll be as supportive of Trump's beliefs as he hopes she will.

One oddity, Trump has been rambling for quite a while now. He spoke about the evil assassin getting the death penalty. He obviously thought it would produce a loud cheer of approval, but, this is the odd part, it was greeted with muted and scattered applause.
Who said that? No doubt MAGA morons agree, but I'm uncertain if a true believer would say such a thing.

This is why the lack of applause and enthusiasm for Trump advocating the death penalty for Tyler Robinson caught my attention. It was evidence that a lot more Evangelicals were walking the walk than previously thought.
Trump has been supportive of Charlie and Turning Point, which is why Erika is amicable to him.

However, the disparity between her speech and Trump's is as clear as difference between the light and the darkness. At the moment, both MAGA and Turning Point have similar interests, but the cracks are showing. Yesterday's memorial made this very clear to me.

Not just Trump and Erika, but also several other speakers from both Trump's staff and supporters of Turning Point made the differences clear.

This is Erika's speech. Note the applause when she said she forgave the murderer of her husband.

Watch President Trump's full speech at Charlie Kirk's memorial

President Donald Trump spoke at Charlie Kirk's memorial, honoring the conservative activist who was critical to his presidential campaigns.

The original schedule had Erika going last, which is fitting being the widow, but the Orange Jesus changed that. Note his glitzy "It's all about me" imperial entrance.

As a sociological experiment, I've been attending an evangelical church for the past couple months. There is zero political talk in the sermons, even if a lot of them support Trump outside the church. Their sermons are all New Testament-based. The pastors are all skilled public speakers. And they really are masters at putting on an inspiring show with really high quality contemporary Christian music performed by excellent musicians with modern instruments, and excellent singers.

As an armchair sociologist, it made me realize why they are out-competing the old mainline Protestant churches. They are just more dynamic, younger, and more energetic.

The Kirk Memorial was a mix of a White Nationalist political rally, courtesy of Trump and Miller, and a televangelist revival meeting, courtesy of Erika and several (not all) Turning Point execs. I say not all because a few seemed to be more political than religious.

Keeping 21st Century entertained is a problem since we're so used to having multiple choices of entertainment. A huge change from the days of only three television networks plus PBS. Technology killed the drive-in movie theater...along with drive-in movie pants*. LOL

Since we've become so addicted to instant gratification of entertainment choices, I can see why churches are having to up their game to keep people in the pews for 90 minutes.

LOL, that's the first I've heard of drive in movie pants.

Good point on marketing the church in the 21st century.
This evangelical church was like attending a Christian rock concert. They don't fuck around with old fashioned hymns. They were playing modern, contemporary Christian music with electric guitars, keyboards, drums, electric bass.

That would never pass muster in a Episcopalian or Lutheran church!

That really is noteworthy.
MAGA is already splitting over the Epstein Files. Trump created a monster he can no longer control.

With the death of Charlie Kirk, who I believe was being set up to replace Trump in 2028 or become the VP, and Erika taking over as COO, I think the divide will widen between the MAGAt White Nationalists and the Evangelical supporters.

The more the MAGAts prove they are not Christians and that they are mammon-worshiping Satanists, the greater the divide will become.

Bah, woketard modern day cookie cutter preachers are dumb.
A cousin had his funeral at one of their churches. So canned. My family's stuff was real, but that preacher and the whole thing was cringe.
That cousin was 200% a better preacher than he was, and not even all that into it.
While cracking good jokes, even.
