You'd think that after 167 years this wouldn't be an argument. Vols hasn't learned anything in the decades following that debate.
 
This was JV football...the kids were 15...old enough to know better...

Fortunately the injured kid will be okay and will walk again.

The player who caused the injury is being punished, though probably nowhere near enough.

OTOH, the right-wing bigots around here who've weighed in on the subject wouldn't be happy with anything less than death by firing squad.

They'd probably love to see the rest of his family get the same.
