Biden DID do that, so did Obama, Bush, Clinton, Reagan, Carter, Ford, Nixon, Johnson, Kennedy, Eisenhower, Truman, FDR - all the way back to George Washington.

But you China first democrats think somehow Trump isn't really president and you can deny him the power of the presidency. You are very wrong. I know that the tariffs are hurting China - which angers you, and helping America, which infuriates you. Don't worry - you won't get over it.

I basically agree. Trump has no authority to move federal troops into Chicago without the approval of the Governor (except to protect federal buildings) - but even radical leftist Joe Scarborough gets it..

He can't deploy the guard without a request from Blimpy - unless there are widespread attacks on federal agents and open insurrection like there is in Los Angeles.

Increase the ICE raids and if the cartels and the governments they own react - then he can deploy.

Well, he can if he's supporting ICE. It has to be in a supporting role. If the SCOTUS rules his deployment in CA was constitutional I think he'll use that path. Since Chicago is a "sanctuary" city they'll go in and do their thing. The mere presence of the troops will stop some crime, illegals get sent home, it's a "win win" for him.
