Could the parents of the Camp Mystic victims file a wrongful death suit against Trump

I've always thought that kids' summer camps looked as much like concentration camps as anything else.
Cabins that don't look as good as lawnmower and snowblower sheds behind decent homes.
Mosquito infested grounds.
God knows what as counselors.

People must want to get rid of their kids pretty badly to pack them off to places like that for the summer.
Do kids who were sent to summer camp maintain any kind of relationship with their parents once they grow up?

Summer camp isn't a big thing in Boston.
The streets of Boston are a beautiful place to spend the summer.
I was fortunate that my family had a summer home on the shore--
I realize that--
but Boston itself was like a big amusement park in the summer when I was young.

When I got to be a teen,
I'd spend at least as much time home alone in Boston
as I did at the beach
because my city was so much fun.

Plus Boston has a beach if one just wants to go for a couple of hours to get some sun.

Summer camps--and I've seen them from the back roads--look like prison to me.

Has anybody here attended one and enjoyed it?
Maybe I've got it wrong.

Please don't delete this thread... And @NiftyNiblick you've got it wrong... No summer camps in your life? No boxing camps? No scouts? No band or athletic camps for the kids? No 4H? I don't think I know anyone who's never been to a summer camp...
I've been to basic training.
From my perspective, that's more camp than anybody needs in a lifetime.

Others may of course feel differently,
but the absence of creature comforts is not recreational to me,
nor was it when I was a boy.
People are different.

Yes we had swimming and skiing and crafts and camp fires and hot dogs and roasted marshmallows. It was fun.

I understand and respect that you feel that way. I was just curious... I seriously don't know anybody (else) who's never been to summer camps...

I never been, other than basic training, had the city park, another with a pool just a short distance away, all I needed

Still wouldn’t go, learned a lot in the parks, good and bad, passage of youth. My wife had similar background, she didn’t go, nor did my kids, now you know six people
Ok..
We have parks and public pools as well... But the camps offer So much... But I guess if they weren't available they weren't available... They are here...have been For many many years....

Don’t know if they were available or not, just never enter the radar, being a city kid, living out in the woods chasing frogs wasn’t appealing

You do know that that's not the only kind of camps that exist .. right? There are dozens and dozens of summer camps... Is offering a little bit more than chasing frogs in the woods....lol... But we did that too...

As a postscript, I grew up in a time when kids made their own hands, played ball without adult supervision
Great cabinet meeting by the way... Turn it on in the background...
Think I’d rather nail my foot to the floor

All they do is go around the with each narrating what a great President Trump is crediting him with everything short of curing cancer, they know if they don’t they could lose their position. Seen it all before
