Womens' sports: looks like common sense is finally reemerging

Nope. Nobody lost out on being able to compete. Nobody that would have actually 'competed', that is. POTUS cannot withhold funding to the university if they don't meet his silly demands.
You are not correct...They absolutely did lose out on being able to compete...Perhaps you don't understand how spots in a final event are assigned... https://www.nationalreview.com/news...ts-ncaa-alleges-lia-thomas-stole-finals-spot/
They'll apologize because it's the right thing to do...

Anyone who believes that it is just swell for a man to compete against a woman should have their own daughter compete against a man.

Perhaps in volleyball, where a woman had her facial bone broken by a man hitting a volleyball.

Riley Gaines, Paula Scanlan, and so many others who've stood up and fought back were physically threatened, harassed, and intimidated but they fought back.

Apologies and jail time would be appropriate.

Morning TOP, you said that this would be resolved and it was.

Perhaps one swimmer lost a spot. And the university was following the flawed NCAA parameters at the time. By law. So there is no apology necessary.
Any time Will was in a final, a swimmer lost a space...Any time any trans participant is in an event someone loses out on an opportunity to participate...
They will apologize....they shouldn't have followed the "flawed parameters"...knowing What they should have done for their girls...
Will Thomas competed as a mediocre athlete on their men's team the previous years...that should have been enough to deny him the right to compete on the women's team... They made a mistake...It's only right to apologize for mistatkes.
I hope every school in the country who has allowed trans participation follows suit...

There had better be apologies because it is part of the agreement with the Trump administration.

Reverting records, a written apology and policy changes: How UPenn reached a deal with the White House over trans athletes and $175 million in federal funding

...UPenn had to issue a statement that it would comply with Title IX in its athletic programs, restore records and titles to the women who competed against Thomas and any other transgender women, and write apologies to those women who competed against Thomas....

Well done, Medico.

When my first son was born, C-Section, the anesthesiologist, a big six footer, told me that if I got queasy, lean on him.

I leaned on him. How you guys see this stuff every day and still function is beyond me.

I was putting a labor epidural in a lady and her husband passed out and he hit an AC unit and cut his head. I always made the dads sit down in a chair after that.

We were doing heart surgery on a prisoner and the required prison guard passed out and I barely caught him just before he hit the floor from a standing position.

The funnest was a female medical student was scrubbing at the scrub sink in the hallway and was looking into the surgery room as the surgeon made the opening incision. She passed out in the hallway. . I just watched her disappear from sight. I recommended her to become a Radiologist.

I feel their pain.

When my daughter was doing Pre-Med, she volunteered at Grady Hospital, a major trauma center, and a doctor took her to a room and showed her a corpse after autopsy. She was prepared though and did not faint.

The men and women who relieve pain and extend life and save lives are noble people.
