With the for profit medical stystem, you damn well guarantee prices will climb. The owners and investors never have enough. The execs running the healthcare companies get mega millions, and want more. There is nothing fighting the looting.
The healthcare system, does not even have a product. Their function is to fight treatments that people have paid for. It increases profits. They pay doctors to find ways to deny care. The system we have is stupid and guarantees to hurt the users of healthcare. When Taiwan was going to make a healthcare system in their country, they came to America to see our system and to make sure they did not do the same things we did.
No advanced country has followed our blueprint.

Indeed, socialism cannot exist without capitalism to steal from. Once it runs out of places to steal from, it collapses.
What this mayor hopeful wants is to steal from private businesses and have them government run (communism).
He also wants to defund police, a weird combination, since the resulting revolt will have nothing to stop it.
He does advocate free recreational drug injection sites, to keep as many of the masses drugged out as possible. They won't revolt.
NYC is not the financial or cultural hub of the world. Anyone with any means to do so is fleeing NYC and abandoning it to the rats, the Democrats, and the zombies on drugs.
I you call that culture, I want no part of it.
