Hegseth renames USNS Harvey Milk. Now named USNS Oscar V. Peterson

It’s just so petty and childish.
Agreed. Worse is them renaming bases using new names similar to the olds but too chickenshit to restore the old names.

It cost the Army about $39M to rename them a couple years ago. It's not only petty and childish to force them change again to similar sounding names, but also a waste of taxpayer money.

It was petty and childish to rename them to begin with.

Aircraft carrier names I'd like to see:

Enterprise--carries forward a traditional name of a celebrated ship
Yorktown, Saratoga--important battles in the revolutionary war. Celebrates American history
United States--What better name than a ship that represents our nation?
America--Another name representing our nation and ideas.
Independence--An ideal and a shortened version of Declaration of Independence.

So if they succeeded are not their leaders and those who led them traitors? And now you want to honor traitors?

Don’t think their are many major entities in Great Britain named after Washington

You're such a pillock, Arsecheese!

There is a connection between George Washington and Washington, England. George Washington's ancestors originated from the town of Washington in Tyne and Wear, England. The Washington family in England is considered the ancestral family of the first U.S. President.

Recognition of Washington relatives still living in England compares to naming a military base in the U.S., got it

Well of course the nations they seceded from did not like it, but the world overall supported the secession.
You are behind

“Serendipity” said Southern Leaders in the Civil were no more of traitors than Washington was in the Revolution, to which I replied not in Great Britain, no military entities named after Washington in England

I'm curious. Who do you think the Democrats can run that has a chance of winning?
The anti-Semitic Communist that just won the N.Y.C mayoral primary, Zohran Mamdani.

Even the Democrats are throwing him under the bus. He hates Capitalism

New York mayoral hopeful Zohran Mamdani slams capitalism on CNN
